Hello Pete,

If I end up making it to Billing, then yeah I'll bring mine.

When starting up the Power button flashes 16 times

When driving the engine note sounds whiney and holds 2nd gear for ages. Kickdown only works intermittantly. When booting it the gears change upward too soon ie about 5000 revs.

I think the TPS connector wire was broken when fitting new PCV hoses, I've got a new one but want to confirm the TPS signal is what is upsetting the autobox, before I get the wire cutters and soldering iron out and botch it before Billing ;)

i've tried the autobox diagnostic upteen times but cant get it to work  The power light just flashes 16 times agin, half way through the procedure

Cheers

Yep - I'll be selling them from the DTA-motorsport stand (next to SE Nissan & opposite the 300zx.co.uk plot - I think). Will have one to demo so time permitting can hook it up to your car to have a look see!

Cheers!

An update on my problems: The conzult at Billing confirmed the TPS was the fault (Thanks Jeff :), and Danny for the offer on the day :) )

Went to John Dixon's to fit rear suspension and play with the new TPS and wiring. When the new TPS was on, the autobox fault was still there - so must be the wiring we thought. A multimeter pointed to a problem with the loom wiring to the TPS :(

First of all tried the ECU end, wiggled the loom-ECU connector and *click* - the revs immediately change note and drop to normal idle! Woohoo! :D:D Car runs brilliant now, no power light flashing or odd gearchanges. And the ALC works too :D:D

So check your ECU connection :o :o

And a big thanks to JD for the work, again!!:)
