Blitz Exhausts...caution.....

Just for Info, (I wish I had known this!!!!)

Had CATS removed and had to have intermediate section replaced in stainless 309 ..due to failure of the Blitz Realise TT Exhaust check this out...

Note only tail section is stainless on Blitz exhaust...mine lasted 18 mths... (£800)

The bloke who fitted new stainless also stated the bend radius on tail sections didnt match

He showed me what happens with the Blitz mild steel when touched by burner ...just melted away in seconds.... he stated about 50% of Jap Cars have their Blitz Exhaust replaced within about 2-3 years.

He also showed me a Powerflow Exhaust (who make their systems from 409 Stainless, a lower grade of steel) and theirs melted pretty quick too!!!) when compared to 309.

Hope this info helps

Regardz

yup, this is quite a well known problem :( & is why i got a mongoose system :)

That's the problem with nearly all jap Zorsts, mines the same Realize system and when the pipe work goes, think i'll go to Tube Torque in Maccelsfield, they do pukka stainless Zorst for the Zed, probably best quality Stainless around.

Powerflow have always used shite stainless for the pipes, though i believe the back boxes are different/higher spec stainless jobs.

For VFM it's either the Mongoose or if something bigger wanted then Tube torque.

cheers

smithy

does any one know how good or bad the hks exhausts are? considering buying one as i prefer the 2 tailpipe option over the 4

Lee,

I hope they're OK as I've just sovved out for one!! ;)

Serioulsly though, a few on here have them, e.g. Mr Duff and Ajay for a start. Had positive feedback from both of them, but they are *not* fully stainless either.

Be careful to order the correct one, btw, there are 3 the hyper, super-drager and legal - the first two are single outlet - you want the "legal" if you want twin pipes, which I hope (when it finally shows up) will have 2x4" outlets.

HTH,

JB. :D

I'm finally getting my exhaust fitted by Predatorsports. I've heard about the problems with Powerflow.

The only problem with Mongoose is that their's is cat back only.

Geoff.

The Z I bought a couple of months ago also has a Blitz exhaust fitted, think it has been on for just over a year and the ******* has holes in the rear box!

I have a Blitz on my Z aswell but will need replacing in next few months. Not sure what to get next...I like the HKS Superdrager but not sure about single outlet on one side:confused:
