Hi,

Has anybody ever used or heard any reports about Response Auto,s in Stalybridge?

Seem to be one of only a handfull that have diag stuff for jap imports.Just thinkin of usin them and wondered if any of you guys had ever encountered them before?

i live in stalybridge. Got a 91 zx t/t. Never had any repairs here though. Have you been since you put up this message??? If you have how did you get on with them?? The reason i ask is my dad went over to get his motor repaired and they tried to give him some cock and bull story...any way lets say he was not impressed and left...

I havent been to the garage yet,was gonna go over at weekend.What was the problem that ya dad had with them??Has he an import??Was gonna use the garage because it would be easy for train access and there seem to have the software to get into my Z32..Im only in the droylsden area so will probsbly see ya about.I only ever see a black Z knockin about with a private plate on,it could be u!! ha ha..

I have talked to a few people about this garage that seem to give good reports,but obviously you aint,,would like to hear more!!Was really on the point of using them until ya mentioned that! But hey,thats what its all about aint it!!

Also,is it true that they have an Ex ralli-art tech there?? I went on a bit of look about and there was a few posh Mitzy,s flyin about!![EVO6,GTO and an FTO]..

I've just got back from C & S Wood this afternoon. I can heartily recommend seeing PhilZ there. Although he should now be PhilM3 as he is an ex-zedder :P

 

At very short notice I took my Z down to have a leak investigated (turns out to be from a pipe coming out of the gearbox).

But he also fixed my rattling exhaust which has been driving me insane for many months, fitted a set of poly tension rod bushes (made a HUGE difference :D).

He also fixed my flappy, saggy undertray, checked and topped-up my fluid levels then washed the Z for me. All for a great price too.

 

We are very lucky here in the North West to have Phil and Latz (and Duffman ;)) to call upon.

 

They all get my seal of approval

Yea we are lucky aint we,seems to be a lot of good Techs fairly local,suppose im bein a bit picky about takin my car fairly far away to be looked at![picky or lazy???] C&S WOODS about 25miles i reckon.Guess its one of the perils of owning something rare and complex.Ya just cant go to ya normal place!1

25 Miles isnt far!!! I live in London and still take my car up to C&S Woods. Phil Knows his stuff about the Z and always takes care of his customers. I had tried many garages from Scotland right the way down to Bournmouth and loads inbetween and believe me good ones are hard to find!

Leak from your box? Is it an autobox?? Which pipe? Mine is pissin ATF out at the moment, but I reckon its either the torque convertor thats goosed or one of the seals on the input shaft, which is a box out job either way. Interested if it cud be something else though as it might save me some time and effort.

Mine's a manuel (que?) m8.

Its from a pipe at the back by the cooler.
