Who else rides around with the aircon on auto and T tops off? Was surprised to see someone doing this on a standing quarter trial.

The T-Tops off wont help, however the Aircon temporarily goes into econ mode when you are booting it. Apparently

I would have thought taking the top off increases drag too...

I will do. Its like a parschute.

But it will reduce MASS ;)

Zevans, gonna try for North West meeting in a month or so, would you be up for it. There have been a few new people round the North lately with new Zs

You up for it?

Yep, fantastic idea! I've got hundreds of niggling questions I can't be bothered posting. :D

I'm not around weekend 1-2 August (Big Chill) or the Bank Hol (V2003). I think I'll take the sensible car though, don't fancy parking the lowered Japanese monster in a field...

You posted something in "Events?"

I just thought it was as daft as leaving your fridge door open to cool your kitchen.

Plus the extra heat being pumped under the bonnet from the condenser plus the load even though it drops out at full throttle.

No weight saving ether cos the T tops were in his boot!

I can see your point - but I do this, and we have the aircon in the missus's car with the roof down, it's kinda nice to have the sun beating down on you, but some nice cold air blowing out to keep you cool. :)
