Got a chance to drive a TVR Tuscan this evening.. Totally fantastic!!! I've always liked the look of them, and it sounded so fookin sexy.. My mate blasted it up to 135mph (on a private road of course) and it got there in no time. So I jumped in, pulled up to a junction, and stalled it half way across!! (it was quite embarrasing as a couple of girlies had just noticed us, I'm such a tit!!). But after getting used to the clutch (very heavy) I enjoyed the drive, although i was a little worried about bending it round a lamp post!!

I still love my 300, but if I had the money.... :D

Yeah there was a picture a few weeks ago of one.

Personally I thought it looked horrible. Probably sounded good though.

They do sound great but they make 300's look ultra reliable!

A contractor here had his engine blow at 15,000 miles due to some problem or other with the camshaft. TVR said it was a known fault; and paid a third of the repair bill

He only brought it to work 3 times that I know of and it broke down twice :(

And give me a Viper for engine sound anyday ;) :D

I know where you're coming from Malibu, there's something about TVRs .. they're just kind of brutal, they always make me :D, and always have .. although as pointed out by Konrad I think they make rotten daily drivers and are famously unreliable.

Also, Stuart, I normally agree with your taste in cars - but not this time. I love Tuscans, but definitely think that it's a very "Love it/Hate it" shape. Now, if only I could afford a second weekend motor (I'd still keep my Z), that would be nice!! ;) One day - lottery permitting!

Ivan - what about driving 'em? :D

Is that one of the perks of the job? .. always fancied a go in one myself. Never been in a *really* fast normally aspirated car ... plenty of really fast turbo cars, though ;)

No V8 in the Tuscan unfortunately - but agreed, they do know how to make a 6 sound awesome!

Just got back from a 3000 mile round trip of the South of France, Italy and Switzerland. One of my mates took his Cerbera as one of the motors (2 cars, 1 bike).

It performed quite well.... if you consider it only broke down once, only developed 2 or 3 niggly problems during the journey and only required 3 days in the workshop to fix the fact it was p1ssing oil everywhere when we got back..... Oh yeah, and it had just had an £8,000 engine repair completed before we left.. :D

Went down a storm over there though- no-one knew what it was and it sounded absolutely great screaming away from the Peage's. Unfortunately I only heard him go away from me a couple of times as I was on the bike the rest, and always somehow seemed to be treating him to the sound of my race can... ;)

Gutted to be back but loving the fact I can drive my Zed again. Don't know how it would have faired racing the black 360 I found in France though.... my guess is i'd have been left in its wake considering I kept with it on my bike upto about 160 before he pulled away......

Where's Macca when you need him eh?

:D

Cerb, you jammy git ..

That sounds like one hell of a holiday .. jealous, or what!!! :)

No I was taking about the 300ZX with the V8 in. The engine bay looked a mess and looked awful.

I like the TVR Tuscans. The back of them are a little strange but its very unique, you notice them about a mile infront of you on the motorway. :D

Fair enough - my mistake in reading your post .. the equilibrium is restored :D

CheerZ,

When I first read the title of this post "Sounds like thunder!!" I thought it was going to be like that thread on the supra forum,

The Thunder of a supra, all that rubbish. ;)
