I need the 2 outer sills, as 163,000 miles of UK weather and loads of jack damage, not by me!, has left my outer sills in a ver bad condition.

 

Where can I get outer sills from? The whole length thing. I looked on US sites but the only thing I could find where "Renforcemtent outer sills" is that what I need? If so they didnt give any option for 2+2 or 2 seater because they must be different sizes.

 

I asked Nissan UK for them and they wanted £188+VAT each side, and if these renforcement sills are the things I need, they are $40 each. Maybe because they are a lot more common there.

 

So does any one know where I can get the entire outer sill from.

I could patch it, but my dad said if I am wanting to keep it forever (Hopfully:D) get it done properly, but if I want to scrap it in a few years we can patch it up. Its my duty to keep this Z on the road :D ;).

 

So back to the point. Where can I get these sills from?

you could try a motor factors that specialises in body parts, theres one near me if you want to remind me on Monday :) prob be a lot cheaper than that, i used to get outer sills for other cars for £10-20 ea!

Side Skirts are just a little bit of molded plastic and has nothing to do with the structure of the car. Sills do. ;)

 

Doing this has made me decide not to get side skirts, as the sills could rust untill nothing is left and you wouldnt know about it.

Is the shape not simple enough to make out of two sections with a seam just where there already is a seam?

If you find any can you let me know where from please as i would like mine done aswell before i eventually put skirts on. Had them patched up about a year ago but already has got rust and almost through again.

The sill which is under the door is $200 each but the the part just infront of the rear arch is classed as part of the 3/4 panel and I think they are expensive.
