yeah ive got a fiat panda 750 :D in a lovely faided sky blue, with red go-faster stripes (also faided) and elephant tape holding up the passanger window!!

 

thinking of getting it blacked out, just the driver's side so no one can see me driving it! :cool:

 

other than that i'll leave it standard, 34 BHP should be enough for enyone in my opinion:D

Since owning my 300 I've never had so many other cars! I got given a Volvo 740 Turbo estate (with no turbo) for a while. I even drove Pete's (@SE) 4wd thing... /and/ it was only running on 5. Then there was the missusesses 1.1 Fiesta... don't make me go there.

Raz, whats the 306 like. is it reliable and do you get good mpg? i've read you can get 70 mpg on the motorway:D

 

just that my mate is thinking of getting one to replace his stollen 205 gti, but if they cost loads in repair bills i'll tell him not to bother, also i might get one in a few years so the long trips to uni wont be as expensive as in the Zed!;)

I used to run a Renault 19 16v (L reg) as my other car (well, main car, given the Z was off the road more than on) - Hill Power ECU, scorpion exhaust, decat (yuh, yuh, I know, illegal), PiperX induction kit and lots of stainless & blue laquered bits.. Easily the best and most reliable car I've ever owned - four years and the only things that broke were;

 

Clutch cable and pedal (known fault with 19's, the new pedals are modified to put less strain on the cable)

HT leads (the king lead was arcing and destroyed itself, oops, my fault...)

Set of discs and pads - and that's not exactly a 'failure'.

 

And it got hammered, every single day :D

 

Looking about for an MX-5 soon, hopefully, to be my main car while I dismantle the Z (again). That's if I can afford to keep the Z as well, otherwise it'll be MX-5 only for me. (Was gonna get an MR-2 Roadster, but they're not too crash worthy, it appears.. plus the MX-5 is cheaper to buy and cheaper to insure)

Even owning the Z I still enjoy driving the 306. Handling feels good to me and being fwd you can throw it around the twisties with much more abandon :D Mine's a '94 XTdt, so performance isn't stunning - something like 12.5s 0-60, but to be honest it feels a lot nippier.

 

Consumption doesn't sound good compared to modern diesels; I seem to recall the mpg is quoted at something like 48, but having said that it'll get me up to my parent's place and back on £40, and thats a 600 mile round trip.

 

As for reliability I haven't had much cause to complain. I've had it about 6 years, and before I got the Z I was a bit of a numpty when it came to cars: I let a holed radiator go for too long, which eventually strained a machining fault in the cylinder head (so I was told) that ended up costing me a new head, but apart from that it hasn't demanded anything other than the usual replacables.

Apart fro the 300zx we have another 300zx :D and a Beema 318is (for sale).
