First post, and Full '99 Spec Bodykit Question

Hi,

First post here, long time lurker :).

I'm planning to buy a TT sometime in the future, currently thinking of buying a mechanically sound one and then smartening it up with new leather interior, trim parts, '99 spec body kit and perhaps a respray if necessary.

I've been looking around for a place that sells the whole '99 spec kit - front bumper/splitter, skirts, rear - perhaps as a bundled buy to save a bit. Not quite sure about the spoiler though, I quite like the neatness of the tailgate skin.

Has anyone here gone for the full '99 spec, and if so where did you order from and are you happy with the result? I see that the 99 bumper/splitter is very popular but no-one seemed to have the skirts fitted. I'd be interested to hear any opinions.

Thanks in advance.

Matthew

the only problem is the 99 sideskirts come in at about 600 pounds apiece as they are poleyuretheine.

so it almost seems silly to pay that when stillen ect make as nice a side skirt.

Import a '99 spec Zed?

Mike

True, but a bit pricey.

The attraction of the 99 spec kit is that it modernises the look of the car (not that it looks too shabby anyway of course) without making it look OTT. Quite a few of the kits I've seen so far are bit too much for my taste.

Still, a '99 splitter with the newer rear-end (with low level spoiler or tailgate skin) and some non-OEM skirts would do the trick. £600 is pretty steep for the OEM ones.

you fool :D:D

But its the nearest thing to it!

Jez has the rear spoiler but I understand he had to import it from Australia!!

I've been looking for a closer supplier but not found one yet, except the US.

If you find one, let me know!
