Hi,

Not yet purchased a 300 TT, currently looking for a good example....in the meantime I have been religeously scouring the archives for as much info as I can....its becoming an addiction ! :(

Anyway, noticed a lot of messags in reference to the Zed TT performance, that says they are not particulaly fast off the line, getting beaten by various peformance cars (Impreza, Bmw's....etc), but once the Zed gets up to speed it beats them.

Yet most of the cars mentioned in these messages, all have very similar 0-60mph times (5.5secs), and some slower.

I presume then that the Zed is slower to say 30mph, but its 30-60mph would be quicker than most, to make up for the equal 0-60 times ?

Gonna have to be honest here and agree with what you've heard. Getting 1.5tonnes off the line isn't easy. However, once the engine gets into the power band, watch you don't run in the back of that scooby ;)

I reckon you're spot on there. The likes of Evo's etc are pretty quick off the mark. Thats not to say the 300 will feel slow but as you say the 30-60 and indeed up to 100mph is awesome.

Your best bet is to drive one and see for yourself!

4 wheel drive stuff will almost always be quicker off the line but I'd say that from 20mph up there's not much will catch you other than "proper" supercars.

I've cruised past Scooby WRX STi's and Porsche Boxters etc with no problem.

Im in Someset, looking in the South-west, as well as Berkshire (I travel there a lot for work)...

Not yet driven one...... been too see two. One had Interior parts falling off, and the leather seats were a mess, I walked. The other one, was already sold when I got there.

Im look for a TT, 2+2, Manual, under 70k with a budget of about £5-£6k

Realistic price for a good example ?

David

Yep £5-6k budget should get you a good 'un :)

Biggest mistake you can make is rushing into the first one you see which you obviously haven't done ;) Take your time and preferable get one off someone on the forum - that way you can search on the cars history.

Hello David,

There's a few for sale on the forum...........................
