Its me again, !!

I can't find the engine number listed on the chasses plate either on the door jamb or on the plate in front of the engine. The plate has the chassis number and the trasmission details and just about everything else but no engine number !!

Is the number actually stamped on the block somewhere?

Cheers.

Martin.

It is at the rear of the block, I think on the driver side!

Not the easiest place to view it?

Yep, If you look at the online manual you can see the location, youll probably need lots of WD40 a bit of abrasive paper and a torch, it'll be there!

It's right at the back of the engine, about 9" down. You won't be able to read it at first because of the oily grime. Get your hand down there (not easy) and wipe it with your finger or rag. You should see the numbers, but you will definately need a torch and work it around the many pipes.
