Driving to work this morning. The car started to stumble as I accelerated and when foot to floor she seems to hesitate as she approaches full boost.

If driving easy she's fine only when accelerating hard.

I have a new fuel pump, filter and F.Press.Regulator new plugs so dont think its a fueling problem

Recently converted to manual but Not sure how that would effect it.

No smoke from turbos so dont think its them . Car is stock mechanically 105K UK.

Wondering could it be air intake or Mass flow sensor??

Any help appreciated as I am off to France in the Car friday (supposedly)

Just typed out how it could be a plug breaking down and asking when the last change was -- and then read again that you've got new plugs!

Maybe a leak/split in one of the boost hoses? You dont hear a 'hiss' at all? None of the vacuum hoses popped off?

Have you taken the headlamp panel off and checked the connection to the mass? or done an ecu diag or reset?

I used to get a few spots of lag through the rev range from 0-100 in multible gears, I recently replaced my exhaust with a mongoose (back boxes on old one were shagged) and now its smooth all the way up :)

Run an ECU diag and let us know if you get anything.

It could be a number of things. Temp sensor - O2 Sensors - MAS - boost leak - tps.

Could also be the fuel pump controller - located just infront of the n/s/r wheel arch next to the back seat. You'll need a spare to swap it with though..

Do you have stock air filters and was it raining when you were flooring it?

yeah, exhaust restriction due to cats and turbos is quite significant on these cars. Sometimes you gte more power by backing off on the accelerator :D

Changed oil this evening and did and ECU reset, changed battery

Will clean throttle bodies and Mass air flow meter this evening hopefully that will sort it out

PS Yes I have stock air filters and no it was not raining.

How would a dodgy O2 sensor effect car performance??

Cheers

It wouldn't under hard acceleration - it only affects it under cruise conditions ;)

check for an exhaust leak, mine is blowing near the turbos and it's causing the exact same symptoms as yours.
