Wheel size - width for 265 tyre

What is the minimum width that I could get a 265 tyre on?

    No James - I've decided to go for if possible for 19s wheels with 235 tyres front, 265 rears, but there are limitations on widths from manufacturers. So I need info on what width wheel can I get the 265 on.

    On my ZX import it came with 245 / 40 / 18's on the front and 265 / 35 / 18's on the back. But with my wheels the front tyre just about protects the rim but the back tyre pulls well away from the rim leaving it exposed to curbs!

     

    Should I go wider?
