it wont do the turbos in, thats just a load of crap. What the cats do do , is hide any exisiting probs with the turbos in the first place. So long as you have resonable back pressure then there is unlickly to be a problem.

It certainly makes a difference to performance, although i doubt it gives any actual BHP gain (i found none on the dyno before and after) it makes the blowers spool faster, and gives a far better responce.

If you cant afford turbo replacment lol advise is then to just avoid upping the boost.

Any increase in boost pressure is going to

Reduce the life of your turbos

Increase under bonnet temps

Reduce the engine life

And ect ect.

how can you improve performance without raising BHP ?

Lol yup i talk from vast experience in this department lol.

If you want a safe upgrade, so the exhaust, intake and chip to around 11 psi, the only problem is you get used to it and want more, you need to be realistic in what you want to obtain and how much money you have to do so, cause they will just cost you more and more.

The same BHP, but quicker response.

Power = work over time.

Faster work = more power.

Doesn't Warren mean the maximum BHP of the engine is not increased (although would have thought it wud b)

Yes of course - when a car's BHP is quoted - it means max BHP  ;)

Sort the handling and the brakes (oh, and reduce mass of course ! ;) )

hello mate there is no need to de-cat the car that you have as it has allready been done.

it has no internals inside the original pipes.also it has a jwt chip allready fitted as this was done by me. the only thing that i am not sure on is the boost pressure it is set at as he had no aftermarket boost gauge. 1.2mm jets were used to be safe approx 13-14 psi.

assuming that you are the guy that bought the black one off of jiz in wales. i wouldnt waste your money on those mods as there will be no more noticeable gain but i agree that advancing the timing a degree or two will. bit dangerous though if you do not know what to listen out for. :)

It shows a car before and after having the precats (which we don't have) and main cats gutted. The dyno runs were done on different days, so the results will vary a bit

There was a gain of 24 in the maximum bhp and 20lb/ft in the max torque. There was a gain in both all the way from around 2500rpm upwards too with a big increase in torque around 3750 rpm.

This seems to show that not only is there an increase in performance through most of the rev range, but also that there's an increase in maximum bhp.

andy the car is sorted koni shocks all round lowered 30mm on avo springs and i sorted the brakes out for jiz when he owned it with 365mm brembo discs and calipers. i dont think he can better that either buddy.:(

hi lack yeah i did buy a car off jiz300 from wales but it was not the black one he had a red one two thats the one i bought
