Hi, both pipes from the back boxes have gone, tried to patch up but the damage is to great.

I have been quoted £452.00 stanless steel all in ( POWER FLOW).

Is it a good price, is Power Flow any good, do prefere the mongoose but thats an extra £100 with no fitting and money is a little short as we have a new addition to the family.

Should I hold on alittle longer and go for the mongoose.

Can any one point me the right way to go.

Need to do something soon as MOT is due next month.

Tony :(

Cheeky git, my car had just come back from a 600 mile round trip to Devon and it hadn't stopped raining long enough to wash it !

Quick question for this resurrected thread!

Does the Mongoose have any options for tailpipes, or do you only get the "standard look" quad-pipe arrangement?

And also out of interest, those of you who went the Powerflow route, how are they holding up??

Danny trader is supplying an option on this..single outlet each side I believe..

No problems. Just trying to warn everyone before they make a mistake. I've tried to get the guys that put my back boxes on to replace them, but they keep pointing to the small print on the warranty and telling me i'll have to buy new. I've tried to argue, but to no avail, so now i just f**k on him every time i see him in his scooby doo! It makes me feel a bit better anyway cos he claims its faster than a R33 GTR!

Be careful stu cos if its the person i think your on about it is faster than a zed or an R33 think after he had his motec ecu fitted its running well over 400 bhp and in a scooby trust me its f*cking fast and upto 100-120 will give any tuned car a very good run for its money.

Back to exhausts i had a powerflow on mine and i think for the price you cant go wrong but if you want quality then spend more money and get a named exhaust!? or get one custom built ;)

Mike

I'm really happy with my Powerflow and, If they did start to blow for any reason, they WILL fix it - I'd make damn sure of that ;), lifetime guarantee means lifetime guarantee in my eyes.

Went down the powerflow route myself (NA SWB) - backboxes custom made with oval tailpipes for 400STG (N. Irl)....one thing I will say - since the work was done it introduced a vibration at 2000 rpm (I just have to accelerate past that point quicker then...) and also one of the exhausts is a fraction longer (maybe 1 cm) doesn't sound like much but I'm such a perfectionist it's the only bloody thing I see when approaching the car now!! Maybe I should get out more.....

The guarantee does seem to cover pretty much everything though - I wouldn't worry about getting a replacement should it rot away.....
