Hi

Im about due for a full set of pads. This is the first time whilst ive had the car (twin turbo)

Just looking for some good advice on:

What make?

Where from?

How much?

Are they as easy as other cars to change?

Thanks tom

Fronts are easy, i havent done rears yet!! but i dont think theyre too hard.

I'm amazed how easy they are, Stuart (SRRAE) did mine at the weekend. I know very little about working on cars, but I feel confident enough to change my own pads next time after watching the procedure.

I just had some Mintex 1155's fitted on the front at the weekend. Only driven for a few hours on them but so far they're feeling and performing great. (there's a good article on brakes in general and the 1155 pad here)

I got them from SMS motorspares in Blackwater - don't know if that's of any use to you though. Cost was about £110 - I think that might have been a bit pricey, but there's some good blokes at SMS - they'll even supply a handy ex-F1 mechanic should you need one :D
