This was my list of parts :-

Gearbox

Gear lever

New leather gear lever boot

Master cylinder

Slave cylinder

All hydraulic pipework

Pedal box

Flywheel

Pressure plate

Clutch disk

Throw out bearing

Front half of the propshaft

The plate that sits between engine & gearbox

Wiring loom for the reverse & neutral gearbox switches

Both clutch servo vacumn tanks + pipework

I would also recommend replacing all the cheap rubber bits like dust seals and so on, plus the gear shift bush and the gearbox rear mount, prop centre bearing, plus get the gearbox overhauled before you fit it (unless you have already driven the car with the replacement manual gearbox and know it's a good'un)

As for sourcing the parts you may get lucky here or you could try some of the Zed breakers in the UK :-

many thanx..

was yours a hard job to do - did u do it yourself? cost?

cheers

Nope, I'm a lazy git, I paid SE Nissan to do the job for me. Cost was £1000 (!) and I supplied the parts.

cool

do they have a site?

Having just done the engine part of this (transplanted an auto engine into a manual car), it's not gonna be easy..

Even I (I've been known to tinker, so to speak) would simply take it to SE and hand them the cash, if I was facing your challenge..

To quote a case in point;

The auto has a metal ('kin hard) insert in the rear of the crank, which you have to remove before you can insert the pilot bushing (Phosphor Bronze) that a manual gearbox setup requires.

That took Andy Duff and I about four hours of cursing, swearing, drilling, tapping, hammering, air chiselling...

I wouldn't even like to think how long the rest of the job would take (putting the pedal box in must be a nightmare, then there's the clutch booster, pipework, vacuum reservoirs, loom changes...)..

Ash Shaunmac, he did it himself. Pretty certain one or two others have as well.
