How easy is it to change the all the locks in the Zed - doors, boot, glove box?

Does anyone know who would do this if it's difficult?

Was just wondering as I have all 3 keys for the red zed but only the titanium for the black one.

Not sure about the others, but I've swapped over the whole mechanism in the glove box and it was easy enough to do.

It's just the time constraints that are a problem for me. Bearing in mind the Zed lives 130 miles away from me during the week and I really am only with it every other weekend, if that... So any job that I start needs to be done within a weekend wrapped around everything else that I do then! :)

How about the ignition barrel - is that difficult?

Neet, do you remember when we stripped down the doors? The lock was a tricky bit to get out/off but we did it none the less. You'd have to be a bit more careful THIS time around, cos you were a bit handy with it last time! he heh he.

LOL...aye, I remember that. :D Well, the door was crunked anyway, so a bit more crowbaring and crunking wouldn't hurt. ;) :D And who needs that plastic anyway? :D

Could probably do one door a time in a weekend as I don't exactly have both days free...ever!

Actually, while I'm there, I could swap over the speakers...hmmmmmmmmmm

Pretty easy.

Just bought a whole set of locks off of AndyZ so I will be doing these at somepoint.

It's not hard to do but will probably take a good few hours.

One of the few jobs I have done myself. Door locks are easy once you remove the handle assembly, which is fiddley the first time but after doing it once was a lot easier - DIY you know it makes sense!

Yeah, I would like to do it all myself, but as I say, I don't live with the Zed and only get to see it every other weekend if I'm lucky.

Then I'm usually so busy that it's not viable... Put it this way - in the 4 weekends that I've had the Zed and 1 week of taking it to work, I've done 1600 miles! My other car, that I've had for 18 months has 40K on it...

However...I will endeavour to do it myself, even if it means wombling about with 2 titanium keys for a bit and remembering which key for which lock. :D
