Hi all,

When I test drove my Jap imp. TT 2+2 about a month and a half ago the tyres on it were knackered. Before finalizing the deal I asked the seller to put a new set of 4 tyres on it. He obliged, I purchased the car only to find out he put 4 225/50ZR16's on it. I understand from reading the posts that a TT should have 225's in the front and 245's at the rear. Can anybody please confirm that I can put 245's on the standard rims that came on the car? Eventually, what I'd like to do is get a set of slick looking aftermarket rims (like 18" Kahn RS-R's for example) and have 235's in the front and 265's at the rear. However, due to the fact that the car is regularly at the garage for quite expensive repairs, that dream will have to wait a while. In the meantime I'd like to get the right size tyres. Any suggestions as to which make is best for roadholding (I use my TT as a daily driver and do mostly motorway miles - B'ham to London and back).

Any comments are much appreciated.

Cheers!

Danny

PS - Should get my Zed back on Thursday pm with new radiator and fuel lines ... can't wait!

Jap TT comes with the 225/50/16 all round.

This doesnt effect the speedo, the UK comes with 245, but it will be at alower profile so the rolling radius remians the same.

Japs have 7.5" rims all round, UK has 7.5" fronts & 8.5" rears.

Thanks for the replies guys - next question: where can I get myself some good quality 8.5" rims for the rear of my car?

Cheers!
