Hi,

I saw the thread about the Version S and i have been meaning to ask what the badge on the back of my jap import NA is, i think it says something like Tommy Maiken (from memory, its hard to tell because it is in silver & in joined up writing i.e. a signature).

Is this some sort of different version, perhaps a limited edition? Or has some plonker stuck it on at some point for some reason??

Any ideas, I could take a photo of it, if that helps...

Cheers

Barry

A photo would be good, jsut for the sake of a photo ;).

Barry,

I suspect it's Tommy Kaira

They do a few modified Nissans including a special new 350Z.

I can't see any mention of the 300ZX but you might just be lucky and have a few power mods under that bonnet!

Chris.

Tommy Kaira 300ZX is guaranteed to go 220mph. Very highly tuned.

220mph?

Yep 7 of them where made.

There was on for sale about a year ago. H reg Tommy Kaira 300ZX. £25,000.

Maximum speed of 220mph according to the sales from Tommy Kaira. I think virtually every thing was upgraded on it.

220mph from a 220bhp NA would be even more impressive as that's what Nelsonbd says his is! :D

It's not about BHP is about these .....

That's right. They are go faster stripes, good for an additional 60MPH :D

See I told you. ;)

I am sure they made one which want 220mph.

Hi,

Well I dont think it is "super" tuned for 220mph, it certainly feels like a standard NA - lets say i havent spotted any mods on it ;)

I will take a look at the badge now & get a photo, you've got me curious?

Need to wait for some light....

cheers

So what is with the badge/my car - anything, nothing?

Used the image button at the bottom of the reply window and nothing happened, so i upload the image to another site and linked it...

See above

Well they either got some mods fitted by them or just bought a badge! ;)

  • Author

Well I would not call myself an expert but i havent spotted any mods, so maybe its just a badge. I will have to get an expert to check the car over at a meet sometime... It must be one of those "go faster" bagdes... ;)

I am now wondering wether to get the silly-waste-of-time thing off my car....

Cheers

That Tommy Kaira Z Looks a bit like the Nismo 500 Skyline.

Has anyone ever seen a Nismo edition Z ?

Barry,

The picture in your rides looks to be a NA rather than a TT?

Hi Geoff,

Yep its a Jap NA - so it pretty much means the badge is meaningless... I am just wondering how well it is stuck on and wether i will damage the car getting it off...

Barry

If you want to take it off I think the usual way is to heat it with a hairdryer then peel it back.
