Do they work?

I have only ever heard good things about them.

Any views?

I'll let you know when I've fitted mine and had them on for a week or so.

I have both front and rear strut braces coming.

Matty.

i have them fitted front and rear and it definatly stiffens it up the cornering greatly improved.

i am looking for some adjustable camber arms at the moment to get me camber back to 1degreee currently at 3.7degrees inner edgesstarting to wear after 1000miles. i see luke does them for about £400 is there anywhere else got them a bit cheaper.:)

Had them on other cars and YES! they do work, however the cheap ones from the States DO NOT! they are just for show the welding is shite and the alloy bar does flex!

Oh forgot to say,I was speaking to Geoff today and I am getting some special SS ones made with a master cylinder brace all in one;)

Well it is a long story but I will make it as short as I can here goes............................

Last year I took a strut brace to a guy that has had 20 years experiance in Rally cars/drag racing/saloon cars etc etc.

I have had the master cylinder brace fitted for over two years and could not be without it,but you can only have one or the other as they use the same location bolts on the top of the inner wings.

So I asked him if he could modify the strut brace so I could keep my brake brace,Upon examination of the strut brace that I took to him,he said this particular one was not functional as a strut brace and was just for show!

I left it with him to get some nice SS ones made complete with a Z logo.I moved house in January and have not been in contact with him until last month, when he tells me it is going to cost me £30 per hour to give me a quote, est time 7 hrs so £210 to tell me how much they are going to cost WTF??????

This is now getting sorted so I will have a price soon;)

£210 to tell you how much.........LMAO!!

Let me know when you get them sorted, would be up for a purchase for sure!

I'll have the other ones still as I have already ordered them!!

YEA! have you ever heard such bollocks?

Take it he was soon re-apprised of the situation, then! ;)

Depending on cost, I'd be up for one of these too. :)

7 hours ?.

Surely it can't take 7 hours to look at something and then say it's gonna cost this much plus the £210 it took me to ay that.

I have seen some fairly cheap ones on Ebay for sale which I have been steering clear of, however I have found a company that makes racing struts. They are not for show because they don;t come with any fancy finish paint jobby, but I have mailed the company to see if they can make a pair for the 300zx, then I'll get them chromed.

I'll put up some pictures when/if I get them. A few months yet I imagine.

I just got one of these - welding looks fine to me - the ally bar is pretty substantial and works in compression mode only like an arch so I cant see that flex is an issue - I mean the whole damn body would need to be flexing big time to flex it and if it did flex too much it would dent your bonnet / hood. I thought the object of the thing was just to increase body stiffness across the gap caused by the engine bay giving some steering benefits.

Cant say yet whether it did any good I am not going off road with it (I hope) or taking up rallying.
