I need help.

Can anybody help supply a Oil Filter Bracket (Part # 15238)? See attached schematic.

My import 2+0 TT Manual does not have an Engine Oil Cooler as standard. The UK spec and other import versions do. The bracket/housing for the Oil Filter, on my car, does not have the inlet and outlet for the feeds to an Engine Oil Cooler Rad, and so I am after one (from a broken engine perhaps).

I have tried various solutions with ThinkAuto, but none work out as safely and cleanly as the Nissan solution. I also have a query out to Courtesy (the Nissan UK price is silly).

Please help if you can.

Thanks, Geoff

An update on the above. I feel a bit of an idiot - my only defence is that I have not got my car to double check these things easily, but this is weak! My thanks to Mac1, Topless and Vijay for tolerating me and their offers of help that got me through this.

Although my car does not have an Engine Oil Cooler, the Oil Filter Bracket is identicle. This filter has a pressure valve and outlet/feed. The return is in fact in the side of the Sump (thanks Topless). On my car I have a short pipe from the Oil Filter Bracket to the Sump. On models fitted as standard with an Engine Oil Cooler, this Short Pipe is replaced by pipe runs to the nose of the car where an oil cooler is mounted.

It is very tight under there, and so I have purchased the standard pipe runs to the nose and connected up to the Mocal oil cooler originally bought from ThinkAuto.

My experiment with sandwich blocks, remote filters, etc.. came to nothing. I hope this may help somebody avoid the frustration I have been through. (The Forum came through for me).

Ciao, Geoff
