I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

This reminds me about something between the Russians and Americans in the space race.

As we all know there is no gravety in space and all biros ink pens need gravety to work. That is why they dont work when you try to write on a piece of paper on a wall, or try to write on somthing upside-down.

So the Americans spent millions of dollars producing a pen which can write in a weight less environment. This is at a time where if you had a million dollars you where one of the richest people in the country.

So several million dollars later a pen was produced so that the astronoughts could write notes in space.

Guess how the Russans got around the problem?

They used pencils instead.

LOL

Makis, Makis, Makis...... :shakes head:

We've moved onto Word 1.2 now - those clicky refillable pencils. :p

*Such* thin ice............... :p

I know the pencil as a rubber on it, but being a Mircosoft rubber does it work correctly. Of does it cause a fatial exception then used and cause the lead to snap for no reason.

Or do get asked "Are you sure?" before you use it.

Stuart

Neither - as soon as you tip the pencil the other way, it causes a General Protection Fault and then blue screens on you.

Only way to fix it is to throw it on the floor and have a hissy fit. :D

I think the biro story and nasa is a load of b0ll0x tbh ;) Hold a biro upside down, does all the ink come out? not in my experience! The ink is drawn to the ball by capiliary action not gravity - look at it this way, how would australians write? :D:D:D Still, nice story ;)

So after spending millions of dollars they came up with............the PaperMate Pen. Remember the adverts from the seventies (if you're that old) where they claimed they developed the 'pump' action for use in space?

(The reason I remember this could have something to do with the fact that my surname is Parker)
