Saw this on the Redline stand sunday at Redline Rumble,Santa Pod,the pics do not do it justice ,looked fookin awsome,tried to locate owner but no joy,but got a small peice video of it leavin,sounded wicked as it rumbled past,interior was the muts,allso had GT Racing across top windscreen,bloody wheels looked twice as wide as mine!made my day.Out of all the cars on there stand this ZX was by far the most popular,always a crowd round it,:D ;)

When it was on top gear it hit the limit of the rolling road which was 500bhp, but he never runs good 1/4 mile figures.

 

And last time I spoke to him he wasn't going to SE anymore, I think he had a disagreement about an engine.

well thats why i dont belive it , because its not possible to have decent BHP figures like that and then run 1/4miels slower then stock, probably been Juped by SE lol.

 

i mean i really do think that car is awesome and i clearly remember when i was at SE the first time and one of the Mechanics took my car for a test drive (lets not go down that route again lol) he came back saying it certainly felt stronger than

LOL Nelson i kjnow the answer already SE quote flywheel bhp because its far easier to get the figure you actually want by adding larger percentage losses lol :D

Andys Z is the best modified example I've seen anywhere!!

 

But it should be for the £80k he's thrown at it.

 

Warren, I've seen Andy runs on a number of ocassions at the Pod and never get under 14sec for the 1/4mile.

 

BHP on paper can be whatever you like but real BHP can be calculated from the track!!

 

Still......some Z's can and some can't!

I agree steve its a fantastic car, but way to much money spent and at the end of the day something must have gone wrong with the tuning side if it hasent managed a decent 1/4mile faster than even stock.

He he!! As far as I know Andy's not been to SE for ages, rumour is ... allegidly ... that had a falling out with Pete over engine reliability and paying out for continous re-builds (sounds familiar) also they were hitting some limits not sure what but it was restricting horsepower.

 

Dunno whare he takes his car now.

 

The bonnet mods if anyone still reads this far into a post, I think he did them himself at SE. I was down there one Saturday and watched him take a jigsaw to his bonnet. He's also got/had 335 width tyres on the rear, now that's wide.

Why dont you need a rear BONNET:D :D :D

Anyway if that 600ZX was 600 bhp it would have ran against Norris designs EVO and RC Engineering on Sunday, until I see a dyno read out , I won't believe its got got 600, its turbos aren't big enough for starters!

Stock turbos can do 11 sec 1/4 so Warren says?????

I've seen what's under the bonnet on Andy's car and it looks phucking evil. Has NOS and all sorts of gubbins.

 

But I must agree...no real point making wild claims about BHP without a dyno sheet to back it all up IMO.

 

I'm going to get a sticker made up over the weekend and call mine 750 BHP with 200 NOS.

 

Also ChrisC has a sticker on his number plate saying "Bootylicious" but who's to say that that statement is unfounded and complete bo11ocks??? LMFAO :D Might not be "Bootylicious" for all we know, maybe Chris is just wanting to give us the impression that his car is "Bootylicious" eh? :D
