I live in Canada and I am awaiting a set of so3 s 275-30-19 rear and 235-35-19 front cost me $2200. canadian for the set. Anyone heard anything about these new tires yet.

I bought a set a while ago an haven't found them fantastic. I was told they've changed them since mine, so you could be OK. I had (/have) some problems with front camber, but they seemed to wear excessively quickly (inner edges bare within 3 months). They also tramlined badly, but that could also be down to changes to my suspension at the same time. I wouldn't mind knowing how you get on. I've heard other people (non-z32) say they thought SO3's were awful compared with SO2's.

Whereabouts in Canada are you, by the way?

I have SO2's and heard (from good source) that these far out rate the SO3's.

Maybe find out if they you can get SO2 instead?

I have SO3s and not had a problem with them yet. Wear is good, they are a grippy tyre and I like them.

Dry weather grip on the S03 isnt a patch on the old S02, but wet weather is supposedly improved, but then S02's werent exactly renowned for being a good wet tyre.

Gotta be Toyo Proxes T1-S's. Picked mine up last night and they loook mighty fine.

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

SO2's are definately softer and have more grip, but the SO3s last a lot longer. In the dry they're awesome, but in the wet the SO2's have the edge...

S03, replaced the S02 about a year ago and I presume that the S04 is being developed now.

I have said this before and I will say it again.

The S02 I had on the rears gripped better in the wet than my Kuhmo (The tyres that where on before) did in the dry.

The performance is outstanding, but they only lasted 8,000 miles. My only grumble. I also have heard about the S03 not being as good in the wet. They look boring too ;)

thats to do with suspension.

I have only had SO2's and now S03'S and i find them both great SO3 is better id say as it seems to be a betetr wearing tyre.

i find it funny when people go on about how much better this tyre is than that one ect, when 99% of us dont go near the limit of what the tyres capable of in the first place.

I live about an hour north of Toronto in Ontario. Well I priced tires out to about 10 different, I asked each of the stores what is the best tire on the market. everyone of them said ...if you dont mind spending the money the so3 tire is by far the best on the market.

Are you having a laugh!?!?!? You wanna try a cheapo set of Khumo, Ventus or Falcon crap! Just a touch of gas at about 20mph has them sliding all over the place! With Toyos it just grips and gets on with it.

With higher spec tyres like Michelin, Bridgestone, Toyos etc. then yeah, it's harder to find the limit, but with the cheap ones they show their limits at 'Granny in her Metro' speeds.
