Right this group buy is just going on for far too long and I really want them before billing.

Ok, the design has been finalised with the exception of one thing which is the Dials logo on the speedo.

 

This Thread is all about the logo nothing else. So please don;t start replying with I think this would be nice in Red or can we have the number in bold or I want 240 mph on the clockes etc.

 

For those of you who want a set please vote. If you don't want a set please don't vote, simple as that.

 

If you voted for a different logo please supply an image in this thread (no p|ssing about please) LOL.

I don't want the DIALS logo

 

nothing against the company, its just I don't have a sign on my trees that says "TREE"

It actually says iDIALS, I'm sure you have logos on every product in your cars. Stereo, Turbo timer, Boost controller, gear knobs, handbrakes, speakers.

 

Every after market product you buy is going to have one. We cant print the NISMO, NISSAN etc due to copy right. and having a blank space there isn't going to happen either. I started the group buy becasue I already had the templates made up ready to go. I dont think there is 100 Z's in the UK which are going to buy these so I will be creating them knowing full well that I will not sell all of them.

 

The buy has been created becasue you were about to pay for some from the states at a higher price. I can see why it has taken so many months to get the buy done.

 

I'm sorry to those who have been wanting these and email ing asking when the buy is to go ahead. It is not me that is holding it up. It is trivial matters such as the i-DIALS logo that are slowing it down. I asked for opinions and i got them, I dont see any problem with printing my logo on my product.

 

I obviously have to make it very clear now, we WILL be printing OUR logo on OUR product.

 

For those of you who would really like the product, then please stick with the group buy. For those who dont then, please do not deter those who want the product.

 

Please do not blame me if the group buy does not reach the required numbers, more so to those who liked to argue over trivial matters.

I thought you were inflexible on the logo issue, so I didn't sign up and didn't get involved. When it appeared that you may be prepared to drop the logo, I expressed my interest, as did a few others.

 

If you can get the required numbers with the logo, good luck to you. If you can't, it's up to you whether you drop it completely or go ahead without the logo.

You are seriously missing the point, peoples hard earnt money and what they want are not trivial matters.

 

I know you only asked for people to comment who had put their name down for a set but I was watching and being tempted, I expect many more were too, even though I already have a set of silver clocks, yours did look really nice.....but have lost interest since some of your comments.........money is one thing but principles are another, I would rather pay that "higher price" you mentioned.

Somone in Oz spots there's interest over here and tips off Auto Illusions. He posts about his product (cheaper than the US one) and even sends over a sample set. Yes he's trying to make sales.

 

And look at the responses - I wouldn't blame him if he never came back again.

Now this does confuse me, first we are asked for what we want so they will go with the majority, then we are told it's this and nowt else :( but even worse if there are a shit load of templates made up with the logo on, not calibrated to UK or with UK markings on em, in short, ready to be adapted to suit the country they are sold to, then why oh why is so hard to have 50 templates made with no logo at all, surely to christ it's easier to leave a logo off than put it on :( i take it it is done by computer !!

You dont complain about the Blitz logos, or APEXi or other in your car.

 

Look at a product like the X-Box. The Xbox logo and Microsoft logo is found on the console, control pads, game boxes, the discs even on some of the wires, and I bet if you open it up it will have it on the chips too.

 

To me the logo is not intrusive, it doesnt deminish the look of the dials and it doesnt make it harder to read the dial. And all in all its not a bad looking logo.

 

How would you feel if you made a product which you worked hard to do and when you came to sell it people said "Yeah we will have them but we dont want people to know who made it."?

2 QUESTIONS.

 

1 Can any of us get these dials, in this country, for £90.00, delivered to our door, which look the bollox, day or night, which the aussie boys have testified ARE the bollox.

 

2. If the answer is no to the above, then whats the problem, i just don't get it, or am I missing the point. Have all the (and i'm afraid they may actually be correct in this *label*) whingeing pommies objecting to this tiny unobtrusive logo removed all branding from their zeds, how many have telephoned kenwood stating they REALLY want that specific head unit, ONLY if they remove the brand from all visible surfaces - what would kenwood say???

 

Have you all removed any sign of nissan from your mojo's??? Or apexi from your induction kits, or turbo timers. Bought those £200.00 armani jeans, just to get home and carefully sliced out the logo on the back pocket, possible replacing it with 'lidl' or 'tescos' or even leaving it blank???

Dude, like i said in the other thread. Opinions were recieved and the result was that no one cares whether the logo stays or goes, with the exception of 4 people who stated clearly that they wanted the logo to be replaced.

 

We will be creating 100 units altogether, I dont think there is 100 Z's in the UK ready to buy these. So yes I am making a calculated loss, because I know all of them are prolly not going to be sold. For the first 38 units I sell I do not make any money at all, it just covers tooling and production costs.

On behalf of the whingers, i assume their gripe is the same as mine, it's the word Dials that's the problem, not the fact there is wording there, when we buy anything the makers name is sometimes on it yes, but it don't bleedin light up indiglo blue the words washing machine, Induction kit, Bodykit, sofa etc etc if he'd put auto illusions there it wouldn't have been too bad, but to buy a set of dials and have dials the word on it just makes em look tacky like something you get from harry halfords, sure the nova and saxo brigade wouldn't mind though.

Considering there are 4 types of faces used on our Zeds in the UK, UK spec, jap spec, series 1 and series 2, ALL do have a slight difference period, allbeit looks or calibration so ensure you get the correct set as the templates that are already made up are just generalised.

I appreciate your offer of your product, when I signed up as interested I did so on the assumption that we were still to decide on the Logo as per posts at the time.

I appreciate you are running a business and that you need to make money to live.

I appreciate that you democratically involved all of those concerned to vote on the logo. It IS the fairest way of doing it.

On the basis of the results I politely choose to decline the group buy.

Right the only reason I started this poll was because you said that you wanted each of us to send a mail to you stating whether or not you wanted the Dials logo.

 

I thought it would be better if we could see the results ourselves rather than just taking your word for it. I mean we don't know you from Adam.

 

Now I may be wrong here and I really hope I am, but I suspected that you had no intention of removing the logo form the Dials in the first place, that is why the secret e-mail ballet took place.

I thought I would make it easier for everyone to see where the majority vote lay, including yourself.

 

Like others, I also understand you are a business man and I don't blame you if you get p|ssed off with it all and give up.

 

But at the end of the day, you did say we'll have a vote, the "majority rules", so making the vote to keep the dials or loose them was your idea.

 

I thought by making the vote results public knowledge would put an end to the debate and kick the group buy off. But now in my eyes you are turning nasty and saying the votes don't count, the logo stays.

 

According to this public vote it was only 4 people who didn;t mind, the rest wanted something different. I personally would have prefered the Dials without the logo but would have bought then even with the logo. But it's come to the stage now where I don't want either now, becuase I really can't be fooked with all this.

 

We have a saying here in the UK "The customer is always right", the only problem is you have to listen to the customer first to find that one out.

 

And befre anyone tell me to give the guy a break. I was a potential customer and the views I am expressing here are mine and mine alone. So as far as I know, I still have the right to say what I feel.

Precisely. It's that specific logo that I don't like. The Auto Illusions logo is much nicer as it happens, and makes much more sense as far as creating a brand is concerned!

 

If people see it as whinging, fine. I prefer to see it as trying to show someone how he could sell more dials...

Once again if you actually saw the product you would quickly notice that it says i-DIALS, not DIALS.

 

The public vote on the forum was a good idea but not in confidence, Every time you vote the IP address is recorded, I am the moderator of a forum too.

 

The results were to be shown to a 3rd party, who is in the UK Z scene. He never posts on here, and he too runs a forum.

well looking at the results, 12 people voted so far and no one wants the dials logo as a preferance?

 

Then take away the 4 that dont mind, and your left with 8 people who would prefer not to have it.

So how on earth is that a minor ammount of people moaning about trivial matters?

 

And how exactly is it a trivial issue when you have to spend every moment you drive your car pretty much staring directly at it?

 

And if its such a trivial matter, why cant you remove it?

Being a customer and being told what i should and what i should not buy, seems to say were moving back into Taliban way of thinking.

 

As a person you choose to purchase what you want, and if its a name like Blitz-HKS-Mines ect, they are massive well established Performance products and you purchase the product based on the overall associastion with that name and what they have achieved.

And very often most of these above companys produce goods without the make on and supply stickers as a choice to do so.

 

I say Vijay should persue his contact, and i have contacted two companys in the states, regarding this, ill let everyone know how it comes out.

For those still interested, I will be going ahead with production of the UK MPH model. I will subsidise the min QTY of buyers with the US buy which is going on at the moment.

 

The price will remain the same. So there is no need to go seeking alternatives if you like our design.
