Haven't got any roads long enough near me to try this out and I need my licence.

What is the speed when pushing 6000rpm + for 4th and 5th gear on stock manual tranny?

I was thinking about this earlier. Is there anywhere that we could go and legally test this? How about renting somewhere like Elvington for a morning - this is where some of the magazines do the top speed testing isn't it ?

steve dont lie lol, 4th is 135mph and 5th 150 limited or around 186mph without limiter

Ok Warren :-)

I actually was looking for 6th gear the other week after I hit the limiter in 5th - lol

I will check my avc-r peak hold next time I'm on a run but recently found I was changing into 5th at around 120 although can't confirm the rpm (off road obviously)

This would leave a big gap of around 50-60 for 5th to catch up on!

the only reason i know is cause the other night i hooked fourth at around 7200 rpm but did not get a look at my speed (to busy looking at the flashing lights in my rearview mirror

lol

anyway having enquired about it on ttnet the 4th gear is definatly 135mph and 5th 186mph
