That car was parked beside mine at Trax 2002,since then it has had more owners than a £20 note:(

Shame, I wonder why?

It looks lush :D

I know he had to take the bumber off cos it kept hitting speedbumps etc...

This is Senna's Ex-car.

No Ayton, but Senna on this forum.

He then sold it to some one on this forum when he got his Skyline. I think they sold then after a few months.

Who owns this now?

Stuart

LMFFAO a saxo member and i have no social life bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. :D

Wonder if he even still has the skyline, that poor car has seen more arses on the front seat than most ladys of the night in Amsterdam :D

;)

There are some Saxos that are faster then Zeds ;)

They may get over the line first but the Zed still looks cooler when crossing the line! :D

Im sure there are, just none ive seen lol, and certainly none that i wont race.

they ar encie cars, point was made in reference to SENNA ... (long story lol)

I was wrong :o

The supercharged VTS wasn't as quick as I thought, he only did a 14 second run.

270BHP at the fly, Problems with getting traction in a FWD.

Still not bad for a 1.6 16v

The Supra he went up against got 12.8

479.5bhp

431lb/ft

Oiiiiiiii - That's My Car!

And yes, as Macca points out it has changed hands a few times ... But rest assured, I'm not parting with it - I love it dearly :)

It's my little baby. Unfortunately, she's picked up a few scratches since Glen owned her, but this is soon to be rectified, and also the Veilside front end has been changed for a 99 spec ... as you can actually take it places you want to go now!

If you want to see what she looks like now, then try my rides (ignore the interior piccie of an auto, that was my first black zed, also still forum owned ;)) - also Wazza took some nice piccies at the Brighton meet ...

CheerZ,

JB.

Good to see it's in the "family" of this forum :D

Lovely car mate, I wish I had the cash when it was being sold :)

Nice amount of power, but could be too much for a front wheel drive car.

I wonder what it would perform like on a track. Its light but RWD dont handle very well compaired to 4WD and RWD.

Stuart

Don't know how it handles, fairly well I guess because it's light.

There is a good track Saxo, with this spec:

Engine Mods Group A engine mounts

BTB/GMC race exhaust

GMC 4 into1 manifold

Mocal Oil control system

Pace/GMC Alloy radiator

PT52 rally cams

Jenvey 42mm throttle bodies

Kevlar Airbox

200mm curved trumpets

Modified engine management

Reduced pulley

AP Racing WRC spec paddle clutch

Machined and balanced flywheel

Citroen Sport Rally gearbox with plate type limited slip diff

Group A gearlinkage kit

Suspension Wilwood 4 pot front calipers

297mm discs

Rear disc brakes with line lock

Hydralic handbrake

Bilstein competition dampers front and rear

GMC springs

Competition anti roll bars and torsion bars

Wheels/Tyres Citroen Sport/Speedline rally wheels 15 ", Michelin tyres

Bodywork Motorsport shell with reinforced mounting and suspension points

No sunroof or internal mounting brackets

FIA internal safety roll cage

Corbeau carbon Pro Rally seats

Luke FIA 75mm 6 point harnesses

Peltor internal and external communications system

Pro Systems rally computer

FIA electric fire system

I think it revs to about 8 or 9,000 rpm!

Bit of a track animal ;)

Piccies of above Saxo

Mmmm.... Throttle bodies...Nice noise :D

I just can't see the appeal of the Saxo, however you dress it up its a shopping trolley, seems top have taken over the Astra/Nova matle.

Sorry if you love 'em, just my opinion.

And yes, that Saxo may be quick, but that looks like a race car to me. I'm sure if we went the Nelson route ripped out the interior and tuned the V6 for the track we'd be looking at a tad more then 99% of the road cars on this forum.

Tim

Very true there is no comparison between stock Saxo Vs stock Zed or modded Saxo Vs modded Zed.

And I love the Zed (of course ;) )

Just saying some cars can be suprising how far they can be tuned on the same engine.

Everyone laughs at Saxos and Novas etc...

But if you've got the money...

Anyone see that Nova that destroyed that Ferrari 360 on a 1/4 mile?

Funny as anything ;)

(doubt it was using a Nova engine though) :P
