I guess this sounds like a real minor niggle but I notice it every time I look at my car now - also seen it on some other zeds so I guess it may be quite common. The bonnet close line with the panel between the headlamps is uneven. I have taken the panel out and refitted it. That didn't seem to make any difference although the rubber grommets were a bit perished. I'm can't see the signs of any accident repairs in that area. Anyone have any idea how this can happen? Is there anyway this can be adjusted?

Mine is exactly the same but as you said it seems to be a common niggle. Bonnet perfectly in line with wings but slightly lopsided with respect to headlamp panel.

Any ideas?

There must be a knack to it. Mine was the same and I couldn't get it straight at all. Then the car went to Darren for a service and the panel came back perfectly aligned. :D

I have no idea what he did though!

Under the panel there are four bolts (2 either side) that hold the bumper brackets, try undoing those and budging the bumper slightly to allow the panel to be square....

Had the same on mine, the left side rises higher than the right.

just loosen both screws of the headlight panel, and push the uneven side up slightly as you tighed. you may need totighed all the way shut the bonnet, check the gap and then make further adjustments. But once you get there, it may be worth marking the position under the bonnet, so when you take the head light panel off in future you can easily align it.

hmmm, I did to move it into position while I tightened it up but there wasn't enough play to correct the problem. Think I will have to try Andy's suggestion about loosening the bumper a bit.

Good to know I'm not alone!

Cheers folks

Well, if one side only goes up so far before you run out of play, push the other side down :D :D. If it still doesn't line up, you've bought a wrong 'en !!!! Only kidding, yeah let us know how you get on with the bumper adjustment.

I had this problem and solved it by putting an additional washer on both the screws at the top of the panel.

If you get washers whose inner diameter is slightly larger than the screws external diameter then you can move the washers slightly while tightening the screws to "fine-adjust" the panel fitment.

Worth a try for 2x 5p, worked a treat on mine :)
