Hi chapz

No major worry, just the HICAS light comes on first thing and then goes out after a couple of mins, then stays off all day - The fluid is a little low and this is what causes the problem methinks, trouble is I dunno what kind of fluid it has in.

If Chris is about, what where you using mate?, if not, will I have to flush it all out and start again with a refil?, and is that a big job.

Thanks as always,

Glen.

Hello mate,

Just normal power steering fluid will do the job.

It takes Power Steering Fluid. Manual states type DEXRON or equiv.

Hello Senna, I think I have only ever seen the HiCAS light come on once before, but me being a lazy sod never actually put in any fluid in it!! I spoke to SE anyway and they said most sorts will be okay (if that helps!!)

Chris

heres a silly question can you use brake fluid to top up, cause it is basically the same stuff?

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO and NO

Use only the correct fluid is not even that expensive.
