Having seen a few zeds in the workshop withe 99 spec bumper on thought I must have one, impressed with the quality (nissan) but not the mesh supplied with it which was only about 1 cm bigger than the middle opening! made for some tricky fixing.

yeh, yeh...I know, making some changes to the wiring loom, taken a bit longer than expected, should be done tomorrow though.

if youve got a uk car, then it will have no front fogs, so they need to be wired in, also the indicator is in the same place as the sidelights, so you need to change the wiring for the seperate indicators.

just done it myself too you see :D

Ive just had my 99 front end arrive yesterday, got all this fun to look forward to. After I do the 60k service.

Jeff, why dont you open a nice shop down here mate, you would really like it down south :)

does look rather nice, i got a j spec does this bumper just bolt straight on or is there any other mods in fixing etc, how is the grill attached, and wheres the cheapest place to get one from?

No as far as I know its just a straight swap for the bumper. :D

Yeah Jeff - I've got the 99' spec. f/bumper it really does tidy up the front aspect of the car.

Geoff.

'Ello, 'Ello ...

Looked like a 350 lurking in the background ... surely it can't be in for a service yet:rolleyes:

What's the deal Jeff .. and first impressions?

How unlike you to be cynical, Wazza!! ;);)

beermonster,

Got mine from from zedcentre, cost £290, but there was tax ontop and it comes bare so you need to consider getting it sprayed. Good service though.

Had a butchers today, as I was under the car anyway and looks like a straight swop. As for the grill I am going to put a smaller mesh on, and will probably use a few spots ofg fibreglass too hold it in place

as in consider the price of getting it sprayed in the total price. You can be so picky james:rolleyes:

"Consider" getting it sprayed ???????????

i like the boy racer look, "ive save up all my money working at mcdonalds for a nice fibreglass evo nova spoiler but i cant afford to get it painted, but ill stick it on anyways it'll still look cool"

luckily one of me best mates is an excellent car painter so ive got no prob there

thanks for the info jock

I know there all the craze, but doesn't anyone out there think that the old style looks pretty damn good ! - especially if you put a new low air dam on there.

As ever, contrary opinions welcome (honest!)

As opposed to the standard pre 98 design? :o ;) :p :D

Production ceased in '99 I believe, last cars sold in 2000.

Soon there won't be anyone without a '99 spec front. But I'd like to say that I believe I was the first in the UK !
