Hi all,

I recently had very very bad vibrations coming from under the car during normal acceleration. After response from this forum and some looking around decided to have the CSB (centre shaft bearing) checked out.... its was fooked.

So changed that but still vibrations, replaced Gearbox Mount and voila vibrations gone and feelign much better.

All seems well until i really give it some as i pull away, i get quite a rough vibration similar to before but feels as if its coming from much further behind - maybe at the rear diff?? wondered if there is a nother bearing or mount at the back end of the propshaft or somthing that may also need replacing.

I think that it was the buggered gbx mount that knackered the CSB - could it have damaged something else at the rear?

any ifo greatly appreciated - don't wanna just take it to garage and get shafted again as i just shelled out over 1.2k in repairs

cheers,

Si.

I dont think so, sounds more of a knocking clanging sort of vibration and seems to last too long. Also the car doesn't really judderr itself - hard to explain...

seems very much like the CSB problem but farther back than it was before and requires much more oomf before it does that it did before..

don't know if its my imagination but seems to become from the back left (ish) more than the right and feels to judder up the prop eminating from the rear

?

added to that i dont feel a loss of traction etc... hmmm
