Thing is I don't know if I got caught or not, but the guy I was racing at the time looked like he was doing a runner so was chased.

 

 

They saw both of us hurtling down the road towards them, at night.

We saw the police car and slowed, the guy I was racing was ahead the whole time (yes I lost a race to a hothatch! :eek: , but at least it was one hellva fast hot-hatch! ;) )

I stayed on the dual carrageway and stopped at red lights just past the coppers, he on the otherhand went left down another road.

 

Blues came on and they went left after him.

Leaving me sat at traffic lights needing a clean change of pants :eek:

 

Trouble is it was a very fast race (stupid...stupid...stupid)

The guy will probably lose his license :(

 

I am never rising to the bait like that again, all I wanted to do was overtake and he turned it into a race.

 

 

Don't know what's happened recently but I'm getting everyone and their dog trying to race me now, People revving and wheelspinning next to me etc.

I always thought "yeah, whatever." and left them to it, (the last one was a Rover 216! LOL :D )

But I wanted to play with the Zed yesterday because it's the first day that I've had it not running in safety boost.

Eric were the boys in blue moving at all ie driving towards you if they were i believe you may have got away with it as perseptive speed with them moving towards you if i remember correctly was a long time ago had something similar happen to me so you may have been a lucky lucky boy check with Tony im sure he will set you straight anyway

No they were parked at the side of the road with their nose facing the road.

I.E. The driver was facing us :(:(

 

Could have been a speed trap or maybe they were just waiting for some nutter to bomb past them :(

Of course no one would ever post anything referring to illegal acts on a public forum where they could be read by any curious passer-by. Doing the "r" word on the Queen's highway is such an act and of course no-one here does such naughty things..

Oh well Eric hope lucks on your side and just seen your other thread congrats on the job its not all bad!!!

Yes yesterday was a superb day, and if I got away with my stupidity at the end of the day, it would be a perfect day :D

my understanding is that if the police donot pull you over there and then, or tell you to wait while thye get the other driver, then thye have to provide you with photoraphic eveidence that you were speeding, including your licence plate.

 

But Eric, you weren't racing or speeding now were you ???.

It was all a dream, wasn't it ????.

Becuasethe only place you speed is on a private track, isn't it ??
