I have had very rusty sills and been quotes £180 each from Nissan, (Parts only) and £700+ from a garage not including parts I have found out that there is a guy at my Archry club who is a metal beater. I asked he see if he could make me some. He measured it and 5 days later I got these

Like to know how you got on. I tried to fix some small areas of rust on mine at the weekend. Once I ground off the thick anti stone chip paint I found it was worse than it looked but just fillered it for now. I think more of us better look closely at that area as the anti stone chip paint hides everything. Mine looked solid till I started. Looks like I better do it properly to protect my investment! Will wait to see you pics of the inards!!

Willie,

One side was done over the weekend. It needs filling and painting propery. Just whapped it on so I can drive it.

When the sills where taken off, found out that the drain pipe that is supposed to drain water from somewhere had blocked, filling the sills with water and slowley rotting them. Some welding on the frame had to be done too. It took 2 days to do one side. I will post pics and details of what was done soon.

The drain pipe you refer to is probably from the T tops. Take em off you see the drain holes. I guess it goes right down the inside of the door post - my sills were wet inside too at the rear wheel arch end after all the recent rain yet the car is bone dry inside - As long as the rot is only on the outer sill it wont be so bad to fix!

Have already injected waxoyl into them
