Hi T,

Well your car looks great!

I'm not sure about the wood, maybe it would look better if you retimmed the black/grey vinyl above the dash and surround in magnolia.

But your not far from me in Bedford as I'm in Welwyn Garden City, so I would love to see your ZX - let me know.

Geoff.

cheers "T".

have you fitted those rear lights yet or have you sold them.:)

Sold them and made a lovely proffit, thank you!!;)

Nah, only joking they are still in my garage unfortunately!!

Finances are a bit tight at the mo. but hopefully soon will get them fitted.

I am going to a bodyshop on Saturday to get a quote ( that's a start at least!!)

Cheers,

F.T.

It looks LUUUUURVELY!!! Very classy!

I personally think it looks very "smart" is the word I'm looking for.

It goes well. Makes the interior looks very classy

Looks well nice same colour as mine.

by the way is that momo steeringwheel expensive and did you fit the cruise control switches or do they come with it??

Richard

Looks very nice indeed, how do you get the wood done?

Is it a print or real wood?

I'd be very interested to know how to do this and what it costs, - already got a custom leather inerior being fitted!

By the way, I have a similar steering wheel and bought an old Nissan one for the cruise controls. SO far I've been quoted £350 to have the cruise controls fitted to the wheel together with controls for my Alpine stereo and a re-trim to match the rest of the interior.

Maybe one day.....

first of all Syko steering wheel is £140 but you will not get it in that colour as i sent it to connoly to have it matched to the interior that is an extra £70.

the boss unit is from http://www.takakaira.com it cost around £70 which keeps in place the cruise and hicas, it is a universal boss hub which allows 99% of aftermarket steering wheels to be added. they also do one without cruise buttons. it is a very neat bit of kit.

as for the wood kit it is a ultra thin piece of wood stained then a layer of lacquer to seal, 3Ms sticky back apply with a hairdryer quite flexiable when warm.

nigel. Luke at the Z center will sort you out. his supplier will have a go at allmost anything. they sent me a couple of different wood samples. cost including non standard Magnolia dials was about £350 :) worth every penny..........

"T"......

I think the wood/plastic should be thrown in the bin at your earliest convenience, the rest is ok tho:)

leather looks class in a glass.

as a fellow yellow z owner.. mmmm yeh.

if u don't mind me asking, how much does a leather retrim like

that cost then ?

boss kit is cheap. I was going to change my wheel a while ago and couldn't find one anywhere. good to know if I do it again.

dunno if it's up your street, but I fitted some nice yellow TRS racing harnesses in mine. match the paint nice. your's would probably look better with black ones against the seats ?

  • Author

powerlord, were you the guy who bought the stock yellow front bumper off me?...........

and yes £1700 for the retrim including wilton carpets.....

    £1700:eek:

Jeez, I was planning on getting my interior sorted till I realised how much its gonna cost!!!!

hey up lack ave tried to find that boss kit on the link but not joy

have u got a diect link to the part or part number and is it only for momo wheels

Richard

Richard,

You can get them from Mike at MJP, I think they were about £125.
