I will be visiting the US of A the first week of June. Its work and I do not get any time off, but if you would like me to bring back some souvenir car parts I would be happy to save you the transport costs. All you have to do is get then delivered to me at my hotel. I will be staying in Williamsburg VA.

 

By little I mean less than say 4kg - I expect to purchase my own souvenirs and the last time I exceeded my baggage allowance I got hit for £100! So do not expect me to bring over a new autobox!

Thanks James, I just had another thought does anyone want a radar detector - last time I was out there I got a Fuzzbuster 3500 for $50 - similar spec to one in Halfords costing £100!

 

I cannot promise to get one as I will be in Virginia where they cannot be used or sold - but just up the road in Maryland I might be able to source the odd one or two.

Just to butt in on the subject of radar detectors. I got my Valentine One while on a business trip to the states. £240 at the time vs the £599 Demon Tweaks wanted for one.

How unusual for us to be ripped off in this country! I am sick of it. :mad:

really nice of you to offer, could really do with a new prop centre bearing, already have the gearbox mount. Let me know your thought's, from memory I don't think it's a very heavy item....

Just a word of warning!

I bought some parts back from the states last time I was there, the security guy at the airport seemed to imply that it was ok that the parts were in my main luggae and not in my hand luggage! I think they were worried about items being used as weapons on the planes!

 

They still opened my main luggage and had a look and nicked some things!

I'm after some more weed - any chance of that??? :D:D:D

Good point - Security at US airports is paraniod. I hope I can keep my laptop, its a big heavy bugger and could be a weapon!

 

As far as I remeber I am allowed £143 of souvineirs / gifts which should be OK
