Can anyone help me get a part number for these, it's the last connector/joint before the actual jet's and supposedly stops the water from returning to the bottle.

I've tried Nissan, but they show me a diagram, and there not on there.

The car is a import 2+0, and the water bottle is in the boot not in the engine bay like the 2+2.

The valves are like a standard connector with a fat section in the middle, about 7 - 8 mm thick.

Anyone help.

Cheers

Alex.

Perhaps there is no part no. if nissan dont list one,

You might try a fishtank airpump check valve sold at many pet stores. These allowed air to pass one way and if there was a powercut and the pump was lower than the water line these stopped the water, back siphoning and emptying the tank. Instead of air these should allow water to flow in one direction, you can tell I used to keep fish, (bloody waste of time).

Hope this helps.

You can buy them at Halfords for about 50p!

They're on the shelf with all the other washer bits they stock.

I rigged up intercooler sprays and didn't use one of these valves - went out the following day to find a huge puddle where the pipes had syphoned all the water out  Doh!

Hi Alex,

Some info that may help, if you are still struggling? I also tried to buy these from my local Nissan dealer. They could not supply replacement Nissan parts but did give me another manufacturers. The same but slightly different body shape.

They are made by Powertrain Products, Greenbridge Rd, Swindon, Wilts SN3 3LB - Non-return valve 3/16" (4mm) Part No. PEWP27

Interestingly the dealer could not find the part on their fiche (FAST CD), and I can confirm this, it is not shown. I printed them a page from the Maintenance Manual (see FAQ - interactive manual EL-88)

http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=el&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=88&design=default&total=133

...and thats when they came up with, and supplied from, an alternative source.

(I should add that the picture is from a 2+2, and like you I have a 2+0 - no difference I believe when talking about the "check valves").
