Looked like a great day all told, im sure some video footage will appear somewhere:)

 

And well done to Latz and his RB, the 10 of the best shootout is gonna be awesome.. there are some real heavy duty Skylines lining up and Simon Norris' new Evolution should add some real spice to the mix.... well looking forward to it...

Timed Circuit Sprint / 1/4 mile/ Top speed day on the Sunday 13th July.

 

The event will cost around £75 per entry dep. on numbers.

 

Spectators are charged £6 per car.

 

Events running all day.

 

Fully laid out & timed sprint circuit.

 

1/4 mile with 60ft time, terminal speeds & elapsed time printouts.

 

1.25 mile top speed runs optional (flying run in left lane of 1/4).

 

The event will be fully marshalled, with onsite emergency services, catering, toilets & easy access for all

Thats a fast time,and like Him Latz has some serious tuning to be done before the big one;).

Was amazing to watch the Nur spec get beaten by the GPS boys' first attempt and it wasn't even set up beforehand :D

 

Latz said he thought it was running around 550 - 600bhp but it hasn't been on a RR yet and has lots of stuff to be done to it.

They were setting it up during the runs!

 

You could hear that Nur spec all the way to the end of the 2 mile straight when he went for the top speed run at about 168mph I think.

Was amazing to see him doing run after run all day flat out from factory spec - I was waiting for something to go bang but no such luck! ;)

 

I'm definately going to take my Z down for a blast when it's back on the road but something tells me I'll be nowhere near those 4x4's!

Oh well, they still look like shopping cars ;)

Just like to say thank you to all of you. Appreciate all the support i get especially from the macca man, chrisc, davew and his lovely lady, tooley, peter and his lovely lady (PPS) and everyone else on here.

 

It was nice to show a few people who doubted my tuning abilities that i could do it.....and better than them. The proof as they say is in the pudding and boy is this sweet! LOL

 

There will be a lot of cars at TOTB that will kick my ass but i wont have bought my engine in a box from JUN and put it in a car ready, neither will i have 850bhp, a mere 500 odd BHP and it kicks a lot off ass. I have built this with my own hands and i race it myself

 

I was running 1.6bar, detonating a WOT in 4th gear and having to let my foot off before the finish because of the det. as chrisc mentioned i was still mapping on the 1/4miles.

 

The car isn't finished by far it has a long way to go yet but my first run qualified me for TOTB which made me very proud indeed

PS I was running VENTUS front tyres which are shite! and SUMITOMO rears whoever they are. I came off the road and onto the track as i was!

Sumitomo??? Dont they make the stock BRAKES for the Zed???
