GROUP BUY on PCV and breather parts - smoking turbos? READ THIS!

Following on from another smokey turbo thread...

Firstly, can I just say I can NOT manage this group buy - I will happily manage the correspondence with courtesy but after my latest $1000 bashing from them I can't afford to stump up the cash....

The parts required are:-

Z32PCV-TT0590 Z32 PCV Hose Kit - Turbo 05/90 and up $49.20

2 x 11810-00002 PCV Valve - Z32 $8.61

This comes to $66.42 BUT you can get a discount by quoting a TTnet membership number. This converts to £41.71 at the CURRENT exchange rate. Don't forget there will be a shipping charge, VAT and duty to pay on these items ;)

Place your names below if you're interested - who has a Credit card with lots of room on it then??? :D

CheerZ,

Andy

Just one more thing - according to Courtesy, there is a different hose kit for pre 5/90 and post 5/90 cars.

Also (natch) NA and TT so watch out when you're ordering.

Put me down for a set too please.

what happened with the turbos m8 pe1420?

i bought some from him a top guy and cheaper 2, i recomend everyone to him for oem parts

his delivery was within a week ,pcv valves and 2 hoses for about 60 usd, thats delivered..... mind you it was a while ago and i may have got the price wrong, but not by much .

ask anyone on ttnet most people use coz for nissan parts as he is cheaper than courtesy

I've had a look on Courtesy and found the parts I need. The price for these is a lot cheaper then Nissan main dealers but when postage and tax are added there isn't a lot in it.

Cheers,

F.T.

Remember the 20% discount for being a member of twinturbo.net

Hi Andy,

Didnt get around to gettin them so im def in this group buy!

cheers

jaz

Sorry to be a pain!!!

But is this going ahead soon?

If not then I'll have to go this alone as my car is smoking like a chimney at the moment and would like to see if the PCV's cure it.

Cheers,

F.T.

So who's gonna take this on then???

CheerZ,

Andy

Is anyone else going to buy some other stuff at Courtesy (or Concept Z) and wants to put these on the same order?

If not, I'm happy to order just the stuff for this Group Buy.

We need someone that's registered as a TT Net member with Courtesy before 1st April 2003 , to qualify for the 25% discount.

Anyone on here? I've just joined TT Net but didn't realise about the above or I would organise it!!:(

Also Andy, I saw the tech article on how to fit the PCV's and there it states to just do the hoses attached to the valves, so is there any point in getting the full kit? I'm not doubting you one bit but with my limited knowledge of mechanics if I can keep things as easy as possible then I will!!;)

Cheers,

F.T.

Yes Tony do the full kit - the ONLY hose I would omit would be the one at the back passenger side of the plenum that runs across the back - I doubt you'll be able to get to that one very easily...

CheerZ,

Andy

Thanks Andy ,are the other hoses quite straightforward to do?

Cheers,

F.T.

I've been a tt.net member since August 1998! I'd forgotten it was that long!

I've ordered from courtesy before and I got the tt.net discount, so it shouldn't be a problem, I wouldn't have thought.

Having said that, I can't find any information that says that Courtesy have changed their policy recently, so maybe any tt.net member can still get the discount.

FT - not TOO bad I suppose as zed jobs go - the old ones will be hard though so just cut them off :D

Dave - you will get your discount AFAIK ;)

CheerZ,

Andy

OK, Coz at ConceptZ says $65 for the kit, including tt.net discount. Apparently there is no group buy deal on OEM parts as there is very little markup anyway. :(

Shipping should be $30-40 and it doesn't matter how many are in the order, so there would be a saving there.

I'm waiting to hear back from Courtesy.

Courtesy say there isn't much room for price reductions either. :(

They can do the turbo hose kits for $46 instead of $49.20 if we order at least 5, so that would make $63.22 all in. That's a huge saving of $3.20, or around £2!

I'm still waiting for a price for shipping.

So, do we think it's worth doing, or would people prefer to buy their own?

Courtesy now say they'll do the hose kit for $40 (so that's $57.22 altogether) and shipping will be $60. They suddenly seem very keen to get this going - something to do with month-end! ;)

So, if we're going to do this, I need to give the guy numbers as soon as I possibly can, so I need people to:

1) confirm that they're in

2) tell me whether they want hose kits, valves, or both.

3) verify that they need kits for 5/90+ turbos. Earlier cars will be a bit more expensive, I think. I'm assuming that we all have turbos, considering the title of the thread?

The best plan is to send me an email to pcv@dmarley.com and give those details and your name & address.

If you've previously said you'd be interested, but aren't now, or at this price, or whatever, can you mail me and let me know too.

Thanks

I'm starting to understand why no-one volunteers to do these Group Buys!

So far only 1 person who originally said they were interested has emailed me.

Can everyone else who said they were interested please just send me an email to pcv@dmarley.com and let me know one way or the other?

Thanks
