Im not really a guru on the 300's so I need a little advice so that I don't get a lemon. Firstly I went to view my first Z today, a 1990 NA 2 seater import, fabric interior huge wheels (265 on the rear) 65K/Km for 5G's. Just a few questions.

Why does it only have 110mph on the clock?

It doesn't have a fog light, yet it has an MOT + Drivers seat wobbles like a blamonge*?

Are all two seaters imports?

I want a 2 seater, targa, TT, prferably silver, How much?

Sorry if non of this makes sense, Im just so excited cos Im test driving it 2morrow.

thanks

The 110mph is probably due to it being limited to 112mph in japan as far as I am aware all 2 seat NA are imports and were never available to the UK market. It should have a fog light as it is a requirement for the MOT however mine is incorporated into the drivers side cluster of my import and has a switch under the steering wheel, it ,might be worth alook to see if this is the case on the one you looked at.

You can get the speedo dial changed and de-restricted for some 160mph action, which is nice ;-)

The NA and 2 seater short wheelbase versions were never sold here so it may be worth getting an insurance quote first. Imported 2+2 TT's are bad enough to insure so it may be worse for the NA/SWB.

I've got a silver one and I've only ever seen one other and that's Tooleys here on the forum, seem few and far between.

The fog light is often fitted by replacing two of the four brake lights and wiring in a new switch.

Er why did my post take so long to get there?!!

Beaten to the answers too...

Looks nice and not a bad price for the year.

Shame it's not a TT (and has no ABS).

I had a real close look at it today, and now that I am over the initail excitment of viewing my frist z have noticed a few things. Firstly, Im pretty sure it has had a major accident or it is a cut-n-shut cos there is a slight concave bump on the passenger side pillar. And to round it off Its been clocked.

So I think I'll pass this one by.

I'll try and get the reg next time I'm passing.

(almost bought a deadly lemon!)
