hi all,

been looking over the site to find the part number for spark plugs on my 92 NA but have been a bit confused from all the discussion as to which ones i should actually get, so which is it?

Also i plan to try and do the sparkers and air filter myself and im an utter novice when it comes to this stuff but u gotta start somehwere eh, and after a bill of £1200 for prop bearing/gbox mnt/wtr pump/cam belt .... i wanna start to be able to save myself some cash where poss

Another thing is the driver side window has stoppped working - i can hear the relay click but nothing happens so assume new motor needed, i removed the door panel and found that if i hold down the switch eventually a 'click' noise comes from the motor.

Summary:

1) what is the part number for spark plugs for 92 NA?

2) what is the part number for the air filter?

3) what tools will i need to replace both?

4) anyone know where i can get hold of a new window motor?

appreciate any help and sorry for the multitude of questions but as i said i gotta start somewhere and thought it could save me alot of time and hassle by just asking people who know -> u guys ;)

cheers, Si.

nowhere.. trust mee.....

For the Spark Plugs they should be PFR6B-11

Air filter you need 2 by the way - Phone a Nissan Dealer

Tools - spark plug socket - some spanners, and some patience.

A new Motor - Either Andy on here who has a link on the site for spares or Nissan.

The only thing I can add to the above is that if this is your first time doing spark plugs, a few points to note.

Make sure the area around the sparkplug is clean as you can get it before you remove the plug, any dust/grit around it will fall straight into the cylinder

Spark plugs are a very easy thread to put back in, if you have to force it the spark plug is probably not sitting square in the thread. Take it out and try again, and keep doing it until you get a nice smooth turn without putting any effort in. If you knacker the thread it will be a PITA to sort.

All the best

Hello Mate,

I live down the road from you, if you need a hand give me a shout!

On top of the above ONLY ever start the plug into the thread by hand, ie dont use the ratchet handle as it reduces the "feel" and is too easy to cross thread the plug.

Hi all,

Thanks for ur advice above, i did it and its made a great improvment to the performance of my car. Only a couple of more things left to bring it finally up to scratch. Couple more questions tho:

1)when changing the plugs, i had to remove a connector from the top of what i assume are the coil packs (?) - these were very brittle and the clip that i had to push in to release them just snapped on every single one (doh). anyway it is fine most of the time but one occasionaly is working loose and i have to push it back on - i don't know what to ask for at the autoparts shop... any idea on the part no or what they are actually called?

2)i recently had very bad vibration from under the car, had CSB done (was completly shot) and also gearbox mount done - this fixed the vibration, but evry now and then when i really floor it i feel a small vibration still, but this time it feels as if its coming from the back end near the diff. Is there a similar bearing or summit at the rear of the prop shaft? may this be the problem?

thanks again for any advice/help.

cheers,

Si.

Hi Shibbs,

I have a set of plugs from courtesy for sale , they are the 11B ones. I ordered the wrong ones and since have bought the 11C that I needed.

£50 (including delivery) and they are yours

Just been told the plugs I have are for a higher boost TT, they are still for sale but not very much use for an NA. Sorry to a few of you NA's drivers that have already enquired about them.

i have doen the plugs - its these questions i was hoping for a response to as above....:
