Ok, so who do YOU think are the worst people on the road? Just recently I've been flashed at, beeped at etc even people swerving at me, because I overtake them - if they are gonna sit at 30mph in a 60 zone, I AM going past! So why do they flash? These are the ones that get my vote. These people are just damned dangerous on the roads - I think the police should be able to do something about these people.

So who gets your vote then???

Andy

Any bmw driver...

Yeah I hate that, admittedly - driving to work in the Zed is an overtaking exercise :D but on occasion they clearly dont like being overtaken.

E.g in my last car a couple of times my overtakee ;) sped up to try and stop me overtaking - once this caused me to get a *lot* closer to the oncoming bend then I felt safe doing  . This hasn't been a problem in the Zed though lol

General lane discipline e.g coming up to roundabouts is terrible - that annoys me something cronic  . Esp old people drifting towards you unaware you are next to them in the next lane. I had this only last week and had to beep the horn or I'd have been squashed against the roundabout. OPEN YOUR EYES AND USE YOUR MIRRORS MUPPET!!

Pete

I'd nominate all the drivers in West London, especially the 14 slags that have hit me while I have been either on two wheels or four!  :(

I don't have a problem with Women drivers or even old drivers (I expect them to drive slow)

The ones I hate are middle age Male drivers, who automaticaly assume they are the best. You know the ones who sit in the right hand lane because they will be turning right in about 20 Miles!!!!flash you when you overtake, complain when you undetake after following them for 10 Miles!!!!

Unlike 30 year old Zed drivers, who obviously know best ;)

Errr, I'll stop talking now

Mike

vauxhall drivers are often idiots

Definately agree on the roundabout thing, using the right lane to go straight on (if it's not a dual carriageway) drives (sic) me insane as the wife will testify.

As for middle lane drivers, well I just feel sorry for them as I blast pass on the inside, ton+. That teaches em!

Arg! Don't get me started!

Oh, and people up my arse in a 30 zone when I'm doing about 32. And funnily enough they're not there when it becomes de-restricted.

Good day for post tally.

Yeah - second that Mike - people sitting in the outside lane of a motorway/dual carriageway whilst not overtaking

And when you're driving ahem quicker than the others on the motorway and someone pulls out to overtake the car you're about to overtake - but much slower  OK, ok I'm going over the legal limit - doesn't mean you cant see me coming doofus!

I foresee a long thread here lol ;)

Pete

Peple who randomly pull out in front of you in 60 zones and then pootle along at 30 causing you to slam on and almost go into the back of them.........oh yeah and f**kin farmers in evil 12mph shit spraying tractors. The ones who pretend they cant see you when they drive down the middle of the road for 3 miles:mad: scruffy f**kin farmers!!!

Cheers, the secret is in.......

the timing.

My "favourite" is the twats who refuse to overtake a truck/caravan/tractor etc.

They sit doing 30mph or whatever for 15 miles and usually manage to find another t0sser with the same attitude to sit behind them, blocking everyone from overtaking

They never leave a gap so you can get in front of them and they are usually so close up the arse of the truck that they can't see past to spot an overtaking place

This is not a problem in the Z as you can blast past at 90+ and humiliate the mini convoy they created but in a normal car it makes me furious!

Reminds me of an article I read in Auto Express magazine a few months ago where some old geezer wrote in to say how overtaking is incredibly dangerous and should be banned! LMAO

It just explains these people's attitudes.

Can you imagine the jams if you were never allowed to overtake?!

They are all winkers ;)

Oh Jesus - Don't start me on this. ooops too late, here I go!

Right then.

First of all - the general public who drive around in their Ford P.O.S, don't realize that our cars, like mny other sports cars, can go round corners at considerably higher speeds than they would be able to.

But, my bug bares would have to be firstly, like Pete says, anyone who generally is unaware of where they are placing themselves. This is not the same who lane hopes or line rides because I class that as defensive driving - Which we all do from time to time.

painfully slow drivers don't bother me - AS LONG AS, they are aware of the fact that they are going slow and obviously position themselves close to the curb, inviting you to overtake. The drivers that annoy me are the ones who expect you to drive slowly with them and flash or hoot at you as you go past. To these I give the finger.

Equally annoying are those that drive to the limit but try to stop you from overtaing. Try being the opperative word. These also get the finger.

And I think the ones that annoy me the most, purely because when they are in the act, it is a very restrictive and scarely position to be in. It is drivers that are unaware of the width of thier car. When are driver past parked cars and the on coming driver does not have a clue as to how much space to leave. Thats when I start to panic. Before now I've been lucky enough to have my window open and pulled my wing mirror too to save it from getting mashed by a blind elderly stiff.

Becareful people - they are out there, so don't let them get you.

I was always warned about drivers wearing hats!

Then there was skip caps - intelligence reducers - and one wag claimed worn backwards for maximum intelligence reduction.

This seems to be true from what I have experienced.

Are we becoming bigoted, prejudiced?

... and the ones who refuse to overtake on the safe bits for miles and miles, waiting for somewhere really dangererous, like approaching a blind corner.

and the to55ers on roundabouts who a) don't understand how indicators work, b) don't understand which lane to use and c) typically change their mind in the middle - nearly got side swiped by some tw@t like that like night, and the cheeky git had the nerve to give ME the finger when I hooted him FFS !!! (and the bloody stupid people carrier POS had a sign in the back window that said "Dad's Taxi", still better than "Baby on board" I suppose - I always assume that's the driver!)

Hehe - damn I forgot the lane disciplin coming to roundabouts. Where I come off the M6 to work, its 2 lanes that end up at a roundabout. Right lane to go right, left lane to go left - is it REALLY that hard to understand??? The left lane gets less jammed than the right, so you get the arseholes who don't think they should have to wait in a cue and go down the left lane to turn right, they certainly get abused :D I'd like to see them try this trick at the supermarket checkout ;) Mr 'My trolley is a BMW' going to the front of the cue and barging in - what fun that would be ;) Macca could get a day job at Asda ROFL :D

I'm a member of the IAM so its bad that I let these things get to me - however, there is patience and there is taking the piss!

Also strongly agree with ChrisC about ppl who won't overtake - winkers!!!

CheerZ,

Andy

people that pull onto the road in front of you causing u to brake sharply, then have the cheek to crawl at 10mph and then suddenly turn off without indicating,

spotty kids that sit in overkitted novas that rev the bollocks off there engine hoping that you;ll race them off the lights, like im gonna waste the fuel on you muppets.

people that have a brand new shiny car that wont go through gaps that u could get a bus through, makes me laff when i go through a tight gap and some prat behind you holds up the traffic in there super mini cos they dont think they can get through a gap i just got my car through

Andy - similar to that, I am often "guilty" of using a clear right hand lane when the left hand lane is busy, then looping round the roundabout to turn left he he :D . Anyone else do this sometimes?

Doesn't cause any grief or sudden dangerous manouvres, apart from the gawping lads in the novas/xr2s staring at the Zed instead of the car infront LOL!

There's nothing wrong with that and IMO its completely different! Go on, give the gawpers something to really look at as you hang the back end out all the way round ;)

General bad lane discipline gets me going, whether thats on motorways......coming up to roundabouts etc!

Also drivers that don't say thanks after you've pulled over on a narrow road to let them through.

But I think what gets me mad the most is when a driver has done a fookin stoopid manouvre and you flash or toot and then THEY give you the finger or tell you to f*ck off or something....... fkin arseholes.

Are you generalising by any chance Cos ? LOL ;)

Oooh - foglights.

Soo many things about foglights.

On when it's not foggy, off when it is.

Rears on in a queue of traffic so you are being blinded. I can see you! You're only 6 feet away!

How much BHP gain is there for a Vectra with it's foglights on?

I've got another :D:D:D

Hows about people who sit in the middle of the road indicating to turn right blocking the traffic when a bit of common courtesy and pulling further to the right would allow everyone else to go past...

I think thats basically what it comes down to though - being aware of your surroundings and common courtesy to others. However this is GB where everyone is an uptight tw@t who couldn't give a toss about anyone else..... selfish bastards..

Andy

Ooooh yes - rear fogs on in a queue of traffic , that really p!sses me off    Ignorant gits

bloomin 300zx drivers who think they own the roads....;) :D
