Hello all. I'm new to the group but have been reading the posts for quite a while now. I totalled my Mitusibishi Eclipse last year and picked up a Z32 about 2 months ago. I'm looking for an experienced specialist in my area. I'm in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. Looking for a rolling road, and ECU test. CHEERS M8S

Hi, welcome to the group.

 

First question... Why do you need a Rolling Road? Is it just out of curiosity? You won't learn much except how to be parted with £60 in half an hour on a RR, IMHO.

 

As for ECU diag, why not do it yourself? The ECUs in 'our' cars have a function built into them so that you can perform self diag. See here for details, also have a nose around AndyP's fantastic site - http://www.300zx.org.uk

 

The other option is a ConZult check on your car. ConZult is NOT the NISSAN diag system but is a PC based system developed by Eric in Holland. Post a 'cry for help' I don't know if anyone near you has a copy.

I live in bury st edmunds too mate but unfortunately i had to sell my zed as my mrs hated it, I am trying to convince her that we need another one though.;)

Thank you to all that replied. I wanted a rolling road test for benchmark reasons only. As with my last car, I like to physically see my mods making a difference. I'm making a printout of the ECU process and will try it today, so here's hoping. As far as the Zed mechanic in Fordham, can you give me the name of his business so I can ring him. As for other users, I found a breaker in Yaxley Peterbough who has 3 Z32s. They seemed a bit on the dodgy side so have your facts and figures straight before you go. i agree with Tim, unless your having some serious remapping done, its a waste of time & money. & also also puts your engine under unessaccary strain.

My missus hated it until she planted the throttle and got a whiff of the turbos! Can`t get her arse out of it, until it needs fuel. Then it becomes mine again....Typical!!!!:D
