Henri,

Will this speedo be the same as US spec.???

If so I can get the part number off TT.net, or you can get it yourself but I already have the page up!

Should be the same as I've used the system to get part numbers for people in UK with Jap. imports and they've checked out with UK Nelson Mandela's?

Nope, it's not....

The US speedo will go to 160 mph

I'm looking for the part number going up to 180 mph, the one depicted in the www.nema.com/300zx "top speed" picture.

It's an UK specific part, I'm looking for the speedo part number, not the whole assembly part number (even if I would accept to buy one second hand if the price is right)

It's a UK Specific part...

My car has got a 180 speedo, but you can bet your ass it's not a pukka Nissan part. These are usually available from the companies that do the Jap/UK conversions. I have this company's name down in my list of useful contacts, don't know whether it's the right one though:

Import Solutions Ltd: 0193-4417222

I'm pretty sure mine has got a 180 speedo, I think I remember pointing it out to my Bro when he first got in the car! Could be wrong, been that long since I saw it!

AARRGGHH...GARGGLLL....I was not aware that Nissan UK is using Z32 customers to fill UK national debt....£381.88 for JUST the speedo...that's INSANE....

That's right Henri, we live in the mad country...LOL! Mad cows, sheep that for no reason just catch fire etc.

Hey mate, you have to pay for your extra 20 mph you know! Nothing is for free...LMAO!

talking of clocks i am having a set made up as we talk in good old South Africa

should be ready for sale soon, and alot cheaper than that.

I'm after a 180mph dial too.

I had a Jap 180khp dial with a convertor on it.

Are you sure this isn't the dial you have seen?

The convertor was causing problems with the auto box and HICAS so the garage removed it and put me a crap 120mph Jap thing in...

Need to get it sorted.

If you are having speedo's made I'd be interested if the price is right.

I'm a bit broke at the moment, moving house next month.

No, I'm sure there's a 180 MPH/280 km/h speedo, and it's the one I want

Interesting, my one is slightly different and a somewhat less dramatic picture !

Yep, you can tell that's an import alright, you've not got your boost in PSI, you've got that dodgey other strange measurement!!! Don't think I have characters on my keyboard to describe it...LOL!

Tim

;-)

Easy, 100mmHg - that wasn't difficult now was it. Doing an accurate conversion to PSI in your head is a little trickier though ...

What does it stand for then Mr. Andy clever cloggs...LOL! I would say through powers of amazing deduction and logical thought that to get the UK psi equivalent you would just simply double your reading And...LMAO!

Some people are just too clever for their own good...still cracking up...only joking mate!

P.S. You must be cleverererer than me, you've got a better job and you get to go to the States lots...for free! LOL!

Obviously it's a measurement of pressure. It means 100 millimetres of mercury. Normalised pressure at sea level is about 14.69 PSI or 1 bar or 760mmHg.

Didn't you get learned nuffink at skool ?

Again, I'm impressed geeZer!

Oi, corse I did, got CSE Cookery and Art, cheekey bugger!!!

LMFAO!

Ahum....I can see your problem...it's a UK Z, right......a frankenZteinZ....with unknown mods....so...2 possibilities

-> Your boost gauge is KO, and so is your speedo sender....or maybe it's your MPH to KMH converter (and automatic HICAS fuck-up)

--> You were using a MIMES ECU, and blew up a piston....serious vacuum cse gases are going through it....and the car is crawling at a legal speed (i.e. not faster than a snail, so you can evade the M25 police speed cameras). ;-)

Henri Why dont you go the route of a used speedo out of a Uk spec car as that fits straight in and is the spec you want I have done this twice now and the going rate is abot £100 for a good unit, its a good saving and I had no probs finding them. Jeff TT

Jeff, I'd definitively would be interested in one or two used 180 mph speedos from UK donors @ 100GBP...let me know if you can find some....
