What could this be!!!

left thread few weeks back but still none the wiser!!

start car engine tapps

car warms up still taps

oil/pressure ok

havent changed oil [not that old magnatec ive been told]

is it hydrolic lifters!!

perhaps its a small japanese car worker who fell in when the engine was built and has been tapping for a good few years in the hope that someone will hear him..

if it was he would be like a pig in s*%t inside and wouldnt want to get out!!!!!!!!!!!

I had this on my car. Sounded like just 1 tappet was making some noise.

 

I changed the rating of the oil. I did use 0-40 and it made the noise then I tried 5-40 which helped but the noise completely went when I used 10-50 or higher.

Try to use 5 prefably 10 or even the Mobile 15-50

 

 

I have Castrol 10-60.
