You may well be in luck - mine had no rust whatever, even though the water had been getting under the spoiler !

There is a gap on the top of the boot when you take the OE spoiler off though so you'll need to get either the skin to cover it or the perspex cover, both available from the zcentre (look on Luke's site under the spoiler section and there's some advice there and photos of the skin and cover)

Go for the perspex !! ;)

Cheers !

And by the way that spoiler looks damn fine on the car :D

There were a couple in with them when I had my stillen one put on.

Good choice !

I had a spoiler fitted recently locally for £250 including some dinges and touching up included. He welded in the holes left from the old spoiler - which he said was the best thing to do. There was no rust below. Yes you have to fit the perspex to fill in void left by old style spoiler.

"what do i need to tell the bodyshop?"

-unless its a optical illusion, I'd tell them to fix it straight and not like the one in that photo!

Good choice though :D

I noticed that on Lukes website!

Not a very good example to use......unless thats how it sits on the rear tailgate!!

Cheers,

You've got a good eye Jimbo, I didn't even notice that until you said it.
