After a number of failed attempts, I might have a supplier in the US who is willing to make up the faces in mph for us in the UK. The faces I'm talking about will change colour from blue - light blue - green - blue green - light green - violet - cyan - indigo at the touch of a button. The kit will include the transformer and all replacement faces.

The rough price I have will work out to between £150 to £170, which would include shipping and taxes.

If anyone's interested, can you just say if your clocks are a series 1 or 2, as the fitment would be different.

I can't say if this will definitly come off as I've been promised by other suppliers so I'm just trying to see the interest. If we do get enough he has "promised" I will have the first one to try in abouts 2-3 weeks.

Cheers

Vijay

yes, your boost guage is in psi which is the equivalent to -14 to +14 kg/cm3 that the UK models have.

right, my brother has met the guy and this does seem still on.

The guy needs a jpeg of the faces in the exact size and he'll put any emblem we want on them.

I need to know is anyone here a photoshop guru? if so, I need your help.

Cheers

right, here's the gauge faces I'm gonna send to my supplier. Does anyone have any suggestions or would we be happy with this?

Vijay

I think they are great. Nice and simple some are really tacky.

Stuart

Look good to me:)

look mint Vijay, look forward to seeing the end result, could well be interested.

Vijay,

I am interested for sure. I have a 1990, 2+0 TT Jap Import (Series 1 ?I think?).

Just wanna say a big thankyou for your efforts for trying to arrange this for all of us....

Top geezer ! ;)

B.

A couple of comments...

You've used 2 different fonts.

Looks like Futura for 20 mph and Helvetica for 120 mph.

IMHO the main numerals need to be bolder. But that's just an aesthetic thing - (bloody designers!)

There is also an inconsistancy between the forward slash on the Tacho and Speedo, need to be standardised in terms of size and style IMHO.

Tim ;)

Buzz, no problem. I just hope I can get these sorted as I've been trying for nearly 2 years for these indiglo gauges.

Tim, The comments are really appreciated. Thats why I posted the pics for things that may have been missed or wants changing.

I'm not too bad using PSP (Paint Shop Pro). But when it comes down to it the king in Trey, and I don't think anyone can dispute that.

Will the Z logo also appear on the Tachometer ?. I think it would be good to have it on both the large gauges, however it may look a little out of place on the fuel gauge.

Also, sorry if this has already been covered, but would the manufacturer be able to leave the dials as a whole for some of us ?. i.e. quite a few of us have after market psi and oil pressure gauges and would like to hide the old ones ?. I know I will be getting after market gauges in the near future so I would prefer the covered type if we have a choice.

I don't see a major problem having the "Z" logo on the tacho. All I would say is that we have to kinda all agree on what we want.

What exactly would you want on the covered gauges? Would you just want it completely blank or something written in it's place? would you want it lit up? and what would you do with the needles?

One of the above was going to be placed on the face above the needle(I think it was one of the lower ones).

No offence Trey.

I just get paid to sit here and make pretty pictures, although having said that I haven't done any serious Photoshop work for a while, too busy with the DTP side of the job!

Hi Vijay, I was thinking something along these lines with the missing stock psi and oil gauges.
