Hi Guys,

 

My brother is looking to buy a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS 25 Turbo ( M reg).

 

Now we don't know what the difference is between a :

GTS, GTR and GTT???

 

I do know GTR V-Spec is the best and it also has two turbos and 4WD whereas GTS 25 Turbo has a single turbo and Hicas steering.

 

Could someone please advise me on the differences among these three models and wot should we be looking at technically when viewing this vehicle.....it has Full Kit, 19" rims, Standard enging except HKS BOV, 55k, FNSH, 1owner since in UK (Jap abviously)-wot sort of price should it be up for aswell???

 

I have never been in any type of Skylines!!!

GTR is the 4WD one and Twin Turbo.

V-Spec is a higher spec GTR, with larger wheels, uprated brakes (I think), and quicker reacting 4WD system.

 

The GTS is just RWD single turbo I think. No where near as powerful or as good as the GTR.

 

Never heard of a GTT.

 

I know that they come in NA too.

gts is as you say 2.5 litre.

The others are 2.65 litre? diff. engine. The 2.5, I think not as strong, hence not used in higher performance versions.

In some markets I think the GTT is an automatic version of the GTS.

 

A colleague at work has a GTS on an "R" plate up for sale in AutoTrader. He bought it in New Zealand, and brought it here with him. A bit more than an "M" reg though.

you can also get a gts-4 2.5 litre single turbo 4 wheel drive and the gts 2.5. single turbo rear wheel drive has about 250bhp standard so not far off the GTR.

What you are descibing sounds like the GTs25t Type M. 2.5 single turbo RWD. Just as quick in a straight line as a GTR, because it doesnt have the 4WD, but it will get eaten by a GTR when you come to a corner. You see a lot of GTs25t's in japan with large turbo's and IC's fitted, so they cant be bad.
