I have the very unique oportunity to be able to watch the England v Turkey match and be on the internet as I am at work.

 

Is any one else watching/watched yet another dire performance by what is supposed to be our national sport?

 

I think they should all just be full time modles or something considering they spend most of their time posing. No one on the England team do I now class as World Class.

I disagree, I thought it was a sound performance. Sol was as good as usual, Bridge had a good 2nd half, Rooney for 17 was brilliant, Vassel (how quick) should have played earlier.

World Cup means little.

 

2nd half was much better but its still England's first win in about 5 or 6 matches.

 

What I hate is the papers will be filled with "Oh aint we great" and then we will play shit for another 10 matches again.

 

Look at Germany. 5-1 yay fantastic, then we played shit for over 10 matches.

The 2nd half was great, but they play like that once in every blue moon.

 

Last year England played 15 internationals and won 5. They won 33% of the matches. Is that the standard we expect?

 

This season we have played 5 and won 2, which includes a draw against Macedonia, I mean come on, Macedonia, and a loss against Australia. The other is a draw against Portugal and even though every one thinks they are great, they are not. They have 2 class players. Figo and Rui Costa every one else is crap.

I agree Rooney played well but he didnt really shine. The only person who shone was the Turkey goalkeeper.

Stu mate, did you see Portugal play Brazil in the so called friendly the other night. They were awesome and Brazil were not there for the ride either ! 2-1 Porto;

 

I thought England were bloody great against Turkey, but I agree with you mate, they need some consistency.
