TYRE Pressure

Hi guys i woz just wondering what should the tyre pressure be.

I have split rims on and the tyres are 235/45/17 front and 255/40/17 at the rear.

less than wud make them explode and more than would make them flat. !:D

seriously - look in your centre console/box by your elbow and there should be a sticker saying what they should be.

Thanks for the advice, but wouldnt that be for standard rims though.

same tyres, same proble, I run mione at 30psi, for what its worth, but I have not run it long enough to know how this presure effects the wear. Handles OK, though.

I do belive a TT supra uses the same size. Maybe use their presure?

Cheers Mark, i have just bought mine recently so i dont really know, but i checked them the other day and the fronts were 30 and the rears were 34.

34 sounds a bit too high for me. So i knocked them down to 32.

30?

Guys, standard they should be around 34front and 36rear. I run 17s and I've got 35 all round. I find that if I put in any less, I get sloppy handling.

Anyone else run 17s?

I did try 33/36. too hard. so seem to be at 30. Must admit I have not spent a great deal of effort at trying other presures yet.

Grandadg90, I picked up my new Z on Monday with your tyre sizes & it juddered like f@@k with 32 ish in them but seems ok at 31. Still a midges of judder so gonna try 30.

Cheers guys for the responces, i had the car tracked and the front wheels balanced and it still seems to judder.

What i might try is to lower the pressure to 30 or even 31.

Me too, i got 33 front and 36 back

Had them fitted at Kwikfit and he pulled these figures off some chart they have. Seems fine to drive on.

Also running 17s 33 front and 36 back , anything else and the car feels horrible

My juddering is very minimal now & could be related to wheel balancing & having different makes of tyres. I recon it might clear up when I change front tyres, one has loads of tread, the other is quite low.
