what a mission i was told :) it took around 2 hours in total for me from start to finish, i managed to keep my fan shroud, the new rad holds about 30% more water, and is 43mm thick, i have taken it for a tester spin and it now runs at just below 80 degrees c and idles now at around 85 degrees c at stand still, as opposed to 85-90 running and 90-95 standing still on my car.

:D so im pretty chuffed.

Hi Warren,

Excellent, I must admit that when I saw how big the Rad was I had serious reservations!!!This is an extremely well made piece of kit!

Was that a 30% increase on what the stock radiator holds or over the entire cooling system contents?

Warren am I right in presuming you haven't installed the aftermarket thermostat yet?

Well Done,

Mark

no havent done thermostat yet lol, was going ot wait for you but got of work early :D it was a tight squeez but it goes in cool.

Wow - top work mate :) Do you mind me asking how much it was, where from etc :D ? For the extra cooling protection this seems a great upgrade!

Did you simply decide to upgrade?

Cheers

Pete :)

I have had these designed and made up back in my Home Town in SA lol, they are very hi qualty, i need tio work out a price as the exchange rate is not very good at the moment for export.

i did decide to upgrade as its something i feel i have left out mods wise ie water cooling and oil cooling, plus when i took my old rad out it broke up in my hands lol.

My Z has never gone over 80C at idle. It went to 90C when I was doing the O2 test and had to rev the engine to 2000rpm for 2 mins before the test would start.
